I've only seen like 3 people do this on a 3 hour bus ride, so thank your bus driver if you take the bus. These guys spent half their day driving you around for 2.25$ (in america, not sure about Europe) so the least you could do is thank him when you get out. He/she even has to handle road rage, smells, and a shit ton other stuff. Just say THANK YOU, it's not that hard. Look, I'll help you out. Here's how to say it, SAY IT WITH ME NOW : THANK YOU (THANGK YOO) Still not sure how to say it? I've got you covered with AUDIO HELP! It doesn't even have to be straight to his face, just say it as you leave. Not only does it make the bus driver feel good but it makes you look like less of an ass. The MTA is pretty fucky as it is and they're like Hitler when it comes to schedules and shit. So don't be an ass :h:
I always say thanks. I love bus drivers
Why? It's their job.
I say thank you each and every time I get on and off the bus. I think there's only been one time when I haven't said, I was in an important conversation and it would have been really rude to interrupt.
I say thanks to my bus drivers. :3:
I do this anyway. It's just manners really.
Sorry to be that guy, but the middle range for minimum wage is about 7.00$ an hour, don't know where you live. http://www.dol.gov/whd/minwage/america.htm But its still the nice and polite thing to do
I've never ridden on a bus. Honestly. I feel bad for the drivers though.
I just say cheers am I a bad person?
I say thanks to mine, a couple are nice and give me half price. One is a dick who sometimes tries to pretend he doesn't see me, prompting me to basically go right on to the road.
Ah, the joys of owning my own car.
I'm pretty sure they make quite alot more than $2.50 an hour. You can't live off that. That's only 3360 USD, after taxes, roughly.
nearly everybody on every bus i've been on has said thanks, i don't say thanks when the bus driver is a complete wanker though.
I just say cheers am I a bad person?
worse than hitler
I just say cheers am I a bad person?
A tragedy!
Why? It's their job.
:frog:
who says THANK as THANGK?
Why? It's their job.
You don't say thank you to people who serve you your coffee? Or sell you a game or a new computer?
Why? It's their job.
And? That's no excuse, it's still just a courteous thing to do. Besides, given driving a bus isn't the most rewarding of jobs, it's still just a friendly gesture that'll brighten there day, even if it's just a little bit.
I only say thank if there extra nice to me and if there an asshole I give them a "F U" but normaly I say Thanks if I am in a good mood
Why? It's their job.
It's called being human.
who says THANK as THANGK?
It depends on accents really, that's the "proper" way of saying it.
i dont say thank you for the same reason i dont tip, i'm paying for a service i don't need to act like they're doing me some favour they wouldnt care if i ordered pizza/got on their bus or not so why should i care that they completed the job they're paid to do
I tell my bus driver to have a good day.
Why? It's their job.
It's a paramedic's job to save my ass when I'm dying and when he does you bet your ass that I'm gonna' say thank you.
I always do this. I don't use public transport often, but when I do, I always say thank you. I say thanks whenever I get off any bus. Just because it's their job, doesn't mean their work can't be appreciated. I like it when people thank me when I'm working, I don't see why someone else wouldn't like it when they're working.
You don't tip? :smith:
if they give me my food for free sure i'll tip
I always thank the bus drivers, even when they're late.
if they give me my food for free sure i'll tip
I thought that was called paying.
