My mom has worked in government facilities for several years now, and from what she's told me, if they ever want to see a doctor for even the most bullshit reasons, they get a free escorted ride to the nearest doctor that can supply them with the treatment that they want.

True, once they're in our custody we we're obligated by law to take care of them. Lucky for my agency we got a doctor and medical staff 24/7 so it isn't a issue. But yes, a lot of money goes in to it.
Though on a side note, women are a lot worse when it comes to shit like this. They got that extra cavity to hide shit in, lucky only female officers have to deal with that.
