Can anybody post an article or excerpt of the whole situation of where he was killed? The article basically just tells that he was unarmed but apparently not because he had a gun on him and the rozzers capped him cuz they thought he had a gun..

Was this the guy who charged one of the cops and got shot?

They got the taxi to stop, boxed it in and Duggan got out and ran. The police had suspicions he was armed which was why they did the sting with armed police. Duggan threw a handgun away, tried to run and refused to stop which ultimately got him shot because the police quite rightly thought he was armed.

I don't advocate punishment without trial, but eh, live by the gun, die by the gun. There's no legal reason to be in possession of a handgun in England, so police will assume you have one for criminal purposes and will use it.

Fucking terrifying, the BBC news was showing buildings burning and people being beaten. And all that was less than 30 miles from me. That shit is pretty scary. I remember clearly going into Hamleys and seeing riot police all down the road. I feel so sorry for the people who were affected by it, but the people of London were amazing afterwards, seeing them all band together to fix it all.
