Long story short, I suck and wish to come better. Since wish-granting was outlawed, I have taken it upon myself to try to work for it. What needs to be worked on? Everything. Line, form, shape, anatomy, what have you. Before I begin this journey of the thousand miles, I whipped up a quick sketch, purely from imagination, just for an example. Just need a style that's accurate, yet unique where I wouldn't crumple it up and light it on fire. As a start, there are some Andrew Loomis ebooks in my books folder for future reference and will be reading through these but cannot solely rely on them. [t]http://i.imgur.com/PmIzXAA.png[/t] Artfart #000: Farewell to the old ways I'll be redoing this from scratch, from the top, as per criticism and other necessities for a start. [editline]editline[/editline] Curious, do you guys know of other little sites that would help? Ctrl+Paint's in my bookmarks.
Just read the Loomis books, there good, they give you the basics but also how to achieve complex stuff at the same time, move onto other stuff when you have a basic grasp. Also, next time throw this up in Creative Work That Doesn't Deserve a Thread.
well, first off, when drawing people try to make them 7.5 heads tall in order to keep it mostly proportional (keep in mind that each person is different, and this ratio is not set in stone, but it is generally true) if you want to get better at drawing people, practice individual body parts (hands, arms, etc)
you forgot to draw the eyes
Even though I prefer to negate them, dat nose. Also I recommend using reference sketches, I've been using them, especially 3-d ones and they make details significantly easier. (Even though it's more oriented towards anthromorphic pictures) this may help http://www.lackadaisycats.com/howtodraw.php
