Shameless self promoting! :v: It's my latest video capture and editing of the Drill Platoon of the greek military academy of Evelpidon. Monkey drill
Neato. Reminds me of the Navy Flying Rifles. They practiced outside our barracks when I was in A school. Same kind of stuff but with more gun juggling and butt slapping (not even kidding about that). Good video. I enjoyed watching it.
Blur vignette, chromatic aberration, and other corny effects could all go. I'd worry less about vfx editing that appeals to twelve-year-olds and more about solid cinematography to begin with. A proper shoulder rig or even glidecam would work wonders for you, and if you have zero budget, all the time you waste on #420noscope Faze editing could be diverted towards video stabilization in post. Anyways basically I'm sure you meant well but your editing decisions are very immature and unprofessional. If it's the demo you're going for, more power to you.

The video was made as a reply to a request from my friends in it. So I really invested in the "wow" factor with all the effects, especially during the last minute. It was a one-time capture. I couldn't ask them to do something again, so I had to work with what I had. You suggest I invest more time on the cinematography and camera work themselves, instead of poor effects. I will try my best in my next videos to achieve that. Thank you again! [editline]8th November 2014[/editline]
Neato. Reminds me of the Navy Flying Rifles. I'd have rather seen this without all the extra shit added in personally.
I'd have rather seen this without all the extra shit added in personally.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm starting to get it! :v: It was too much! Many of the parts that were "artistically corrupted" were made that way because of shaky footage or the lack of it. I had to cover it up!
needs more lens flare and hit marks
needs more lens flare and hit marks
And dorritos! And mountain dew! :v:
Please add more effects :v:
Can you upload the raw video, no effects no background music
Can you upload the raw video, no effects no background music
I have a version with only the transitions and the depth of field effect. But I don't have the original sound, it's with the music. I have the original 20 raw cuts but it needs to be mixed from the beginning to have sound, be clean and have a flow. But I can try to have it released in a day If more people request it.
