I'd assume 'talking him out of it' would entail like, going out there and talking to the guy, not having a bunch of security agents say "hey you wanna talk to the president, dude? he's right over there, away from the edge of the bridge!"

highly doubt they'd do that when there's what appears to be considerable proof coming to light that Turkey is having involvement in financing them and providing refuge.
