The man had climbed over a railing on the Bosphorus bridge linking Europe with Asia and was threatening to kill himself. Mr Erdogan's motorcade was crossing the bridge at the time. Television pictures showed Mr Erdogan's staff asking the sobbing man to talk to the president. After a few moments, he was escorted to safety. The man was suffering depression due to family problems, and police had been trying to prevent him from jumping for some two hours, the Dogan news agency reported.
"Well at least im not erdogan"
I must say, Erdogan looked really interested in the man who almost jumped off the bridge. He also seemed like he was really listening to the man's words.
Jumping off a bridge is an interesting thing, is it not? Beside, politicans have to be experts at interpersonal communication to succeed.
I would not be surprised to find out this is staged.
I would not be surprised to find out this is staged.
I might be too cynical but that was my first thought tbh
talked him out of it while holding a phone up to his head. Must be a great talker, wow
My first thought was too that it was staged.
that cameraman sure is nice and close
Reeks of promotional stunt
I'd assume 'talking him out of it' would entail like, going out there and talking to the guy, not having a bunch of security agents say "hey you wanna talk to the president, dude? he's right over there, away from the edge of the bridge!"
Would've been such a dastardly assassination. Walk up to Erdogan's car all sobbing then, ALLAHU ACKBAR vest detonates.
Would've been such a dastardly assassination. Walk up to Erdogan's car all sobbing then, ALLAHU ACKBAR vest detonates.
highly doubt they'd do that when there's what appears to be considerable proof coming to light that Turkey is having involvement in financing them and providing refuge.
that cameraman sure is nice and close
He was apparently threatening suicide for 2 hours prior, plenty of time for the news to show up.
Should have jumped himself
He does pass through there often so the chance of him encountering that is possible
Staged as fuck. Like Erdogan is capable of acting like a proper human being.
Staged as fuck. Like Erdogan is capable of acting like a proper human being.
Nickname checks out.
But he doesn't talk him out of committing suicide? He sat in his car while his security went "oh you wanna talk to the president??".
Sounds like a setup for one of those old Soviet jokes involving Khruschev
