I took the chants from a Dark Souls Ash Lake track but I made it so different from the original so I kinda don't want to call it a remix but dsfdscv
I love the organic sound a lot of your tracks have. You don't seem to overcompress anything and everything is really well sequenced. I also like your synths, even though you don't have that many here, I like that buzzy synth in the drops. I kinda wish it was a little louder, gets a little lost in the mix right now. The problem I have is the lack of space effects(like reverb and delay), and I think you might want to step your reverb game up a little. The choir doesn't really sound like it's in the same space as the rest of the beat. Also repetitiveness is a little bit of a problem. Okay, to be fair I've been listening almost exclusively to 1 minute hip hop beats for like half a year now and my attention span is bad, but I thought you might want to change it up a little, that choir does get a little boring. The second drop was really good though.

And I guess the repetitiveness is kinda because I wanted this to be a remix of that track so hard I made everything based on the choir. Thats also why I made many different melodies with it instead of repeating just one. Cool that you like my synths, I always think synths are my weak part since I find them so hard to make :v:
I notice that if I find something hard to make it becomes the best part of my stuff when I finish. It might be that you put more effort into synths and have higher standards for them. And yeah I figured that choir was the remix thing, but I think you should have just stopped making a remix and just kind of used it as a sample. Good reverb plugins are pretty hard to choose. They definitely sound very varying and have different uses. If you are only gonna get one, I gotta recommend 2-C Aether. It is hands down the most versatile one and it sounds really good on most stuff. Really smooth reverb, even if it's not too realistic in my opinion. Oh and for compressors and EQ's I can give a couple of recommendations too, even if they are quite expensive. Put them on your long term goals I guess: EQ's: Fabfilter Pro-Q Waves Q10 Compressors: Waves CLA series PSP Vintagewarmer(i dont really know if it actually counts as a compressor but it smashes stuff nicely) Cytomic The Glue de la Mancha D2(FREE :OOO)
Spooky :v: sorry, don't really have anything much to add to Croix's suggestions! If you can't afford to buy (yarr) the plugins he suggested you could try some free alternatives like epicVerb (reverb duhh) and ThrillseekerLA (compressor). They get the job pretty well done considering that they're free. Was good though, keep it up!
