This is amazing, it almost looks too good to be true! It's honestly more amazing to me than the unlimited detail technology by Euclidean. It also seems legit even, due to how they explain it later. I hope it gets released to the public :D I myself have been messing around with similiar technology before, though not in still images but video. Oh and it's probably worth mentioning that it took quite some time because I had to take 6 images of the environment to get the result I wanted. Awesome

holy shit
I really hope they release this. It is great.
At the end in the top right corner there's a pikachu
Wow
It's nice with small objects, but large objects still look out of place. Interesting technology though, it eliminates all the hassle required with Photoshop or other imaging software and makes it automatic. [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] I wonder what would happen if you insert an optical illusion into it.
Well,See ya later Photoshop!
What sorcery is this?
Interesting technology though, it eliminates all the hassle required with Photoshop or other imaging software and makes it automatic.
You still need a high quality model of whatever you're inserting into the picture if you want to make it look real.
Now put a ridiculously amazing HD texture onto the objects and wham bam perfect images ahoy! [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] also something tells me adobe will either make they're own version of this or at least buy the software rights or the company.
It's getting to the point where picture and videos are no longer trustworthy sources of information unless you can know they aren't edited.

Childhood photos of me in Ash Ketchum's clothes + The first 3 generations of Pokemon runnin' around my bedroom. _______________________________________________________ FINALLY.
Childhood photos of me in Ash Ketchum's clothes + The first 3 generations of Pokemon runnin' around my bedroom. _______________________________________________________ FINALLY.
You must have one hell of a big bedroom if you can fit ALL 3 generations of Pokemon in it.
Looks great, wonder what the applications for this could be.
Looks great, wonder what the applications for this could be.
Framing people :v:
New software system realistically adds objects into photos
Does that mean I can add women in the photo of me in an empty room? Ha ha he hur
Does that mean I can add women in the photo of me in an empty room? Ha ha he hur
Probably but it can't insert anything into the empty void inside.
Looks great, wonder what the applications for this could be.
Fake 'leaked' photos of new hardware. If I get a hold of this, I'll probably take a picture of my at my desk with a shitload of ipads and iphone and other expensive items on the table.
My god if this is free, or cheap, i will cum everywhere.
It's really good for what it is, but I want to see it done with higher quality models. A handful of those pictures actually looked good.
A few things look fake, but it's probably only because the added items are so clean and perfect, not because of a fault in the program. I completely couldn't tell which of those four test pictures was the real one.
"In this video, we describe a technique for inserting objects into-" close tab
around 4:50 DON'T TURN YOUR BACK, DON'T LOOK AWAY, AND DON'T BLINK. Good luck.
Childhood photos of me in Ash Ketchum's clothes + The first 3 generations of Pokemon runnin' around my bedroom. _______________________________________________________ FINALLY.
Dude, remember this is from 3rd gen too: Ain't no way that is gonna fit in your room.
This is nothing new nor is it "better" than unlimited detail. UD and Vray have literally nothing to do with each other, one is a rendering program the other a game engine, one is realtime one is not etc etc.

I just said this amazed me more.
