This shitstorm oughta be good...
Department of Justice attorney J. Christian Adams has now officially resigned over Obama's racist refusal to allow the prosecution of armed Black Panthers who openly intimidated voters during Election 2008.
In a letter to the Washington Times, he called the case "the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law" he had ever seen in his entire career at the Justice Department and condemned Obama's bigoted, dishonest handling of the case as "corrupt" and "indefensible."
From the letter:
Based on my firsthand experiences, I believe the dismissal of the Black Panther case was motivated by a lawless hostility toward equal enforcement of the law. Others still within the department share my assessment. The department abetted wrongdoers and abandoned law-abiding citizens victimized by the New Black Panthers. The dismissal raises serious questions about the department's enforcement neutrality in upcoming midterm elections and the subsequent 2012 presidential election.
What was that about the "post-racial," "post-partisan" candidate for "change?"

Like a tea kettle, the republicans have been boiling about Obama for some time, but now they're just screaming.
The two best solutions to any problem: pray, or even easier than that, disassociate yourself.
How can Obama block the Supreme Court from doing its job?
delicious republican tears

It's good to be the president. :v:

My compliments to the chef.
Isn't there a check and balance thing in place where they could go around a refusal?
Intimidation is a crime?

Presidential pardon
How can Obama block the Supreme Court from doing its job?
Because it's Obama?
Intimidation is a crime?
At polling places, yes.
Laws specifically state that there are not to be any groups promoting one party over another within 500ft of a polling place.
Because it's Obama?
Maybe Obama needs to take a look at the limitations of his powers as president
Maybe Obama needs to take a look at the limitations of his powers as president
he's well in range
he's well in range
interfering with a supreme court case is not within his power
Why is the news source from the opinion section? Ar you subbing for Glaber, or something?
interfering with a supreme court case is not within his power
he's not?
I was wondering if anything was going to be done. I was furious when I saw those thugs standing outside polling places, trying to bully people into voting their way. People were getting pushed around and threatened, and nothing was being done about it. I'm sorry, I don't care what party you associate yourself with, allowing that kind of thuggery to continue just spits in the face of the democratic process.
Why is the news source from the opinion section? Ar you subbing for Glaber, or something?
I guess because the basis of the article is because of a letter.
Well then what will happen to the tea baggers who carried around loaded weapons at their protests?
Not doing it at a polling place. So nothing, as long as they are doing it in a city where open carry is legal.
Well then what will happen to the tea baggers who carried around loaded weapons at their protests?
When was this? I went to a "tea party" and I never saw a single weapon. We got about three flybys by a police helicopter, though.
Don't call them tea baggers. It brings down the intelligence of the whole thread when people do that.
he's not?
No.
There are something called Checks and Balances. The president isn't a despot, it can't interfere with any other section of government except its own - the executive.

And according to a recent study most tea party protesters have a high level of education.
I'd like to see a source for this from something remotely unbiased.

In that same study, tea party protesters were shown to believe Obama wasn't born inside the united states.

Fucking this. If a group is intimidating voters then prosecute them. Anyone who defends these assholes are hypocrites.

That's not illegal(depending on location) and is arguably not even morally wrong.

Here's an article by the DOJ official going in-depth into the events leading up to his resignation.

Andrew Jackson did a similar thing too.

editorial letter in the opinion section of a self-proclaimed conservative paper
nice job
It never says that the President himself ordered to refuse the case, and I can't find any news source that says he did.

Never mentions that the president ordered it, only that someone higher did.
