Maybe I'm biased because I live near Detroit and go there 100 times throughout the year for sporting events and concerts, but damn that was a great commercial. Best one I saw tonight during the Superbowl.
I get goosebumps every time I watch it now.
What do you guys think? I totally dislike American cars, and I only would drive Japanese or German cars, but damn this was a great commercial for Chrysler that if I wasn't totally against buying American I would buy this Chrysler 200. It looks so sexy, and it makes me proud to be a part of the Motor City.

I think that is a very stupid bias to have and makes you look like a very small minded individual.
I oNLY DRIVE JAPANESE CARS THAT HAVE AN ANIME PAINTJOB
.... you making fun of anime /b/ro?

Don't you start that. America is infamous for making a lot of dumb looking cars, admit it. Of course they've had some good ones, but things like the Prius always make it onto the streets instead of the quality cars.

Umm Prius is a Toyota, and Japanese.
Also, I'm not small-minded. My family has owned a buick, a chevy, and a ford and all broke down on us numerous times. We've had a Honda Accord from 1995, and it still runs like a champ today. I'm currently driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant with like 190k miles on it, and it has caused me no problems at all, and it has a very strong engine. I hate American cars based on my experience with them.
The longest an American car has lasted was the 1999 Buick Regal, which lasted until 2009. Piece of junk.
If I am buying a brand new car, I'm totally buying German, at least a Passat or Jetta.

Oh yeah haha.
Maybe I should edit that.

You know what I won't because this thread is about a once in a lifetime cool car from America with an overpaid white rapper sponsoring it.

I've always wanted a GTI..
You know what. The only VW I'd get is a CC. That's one cool car, that's still practical.

Don't state "facts" unless you know they're correct.
The longest lasting car is:
Ford Crown Victoria: 1955-2011
I just bought a 2005 Ford CVPI (Crown Victoria Police Interceptor)
I'd post a video of it in this subsection, but FP being FP would troll my videos.
Again, do your research first.
America, fuck yeah.
It looks so sexy, and it makes me proud to be a part of the Motor City.
hahaha... Someone wants to sell his product and it makes you proud. Work at their factories for low wages if you want to be proud.

Rated winner for the Galant. I drive a UK-spec 2002, and they're awesome.
Anyway nice video. Kinda disappointed it was just an advert and not something more meaningful, but still awesome.
From the thread title I thought it would be about crippling depression.

Pretty well made commercial though.

Are you retarded? I am basing it on personal experience, not record-holding cars. Like I mentioned earlier, I owned a Buick, Ford, and Chevy, and the Buick was the one that lasted me the longest, which was around 10 years. GTFO.

Nah, I'm proud, not stupid.
Wait, didn't Chrysler thread through a bunch of shit for outsourcing all their IT to other countries?
'Imported from China' more like it.

Wow, just wow.
I would only buy american.
I thought this was the classiest commercial out of all of them that were shown last night. My father has owned a 300M in the past, and that car was amazing.
Jesus fuck, what a try-hard commercial. Tried to make themselves seem all classy and "tough" but ended up failing at both.
The beginning was good though in my opinion, they just over-did it.
The story of Detroit is really interesting, the home of the motown label, It's history of cars and industry. It's a very interesting look at a localised collapse of home grown material being replaced by cheaper products from abroad. I would recommend looking up about it.

I watched a documentary about it not too long ago. I recommend looking it up. Here's the IMDB page, it's very recent (2010) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1572190/

It probably effected me more than it would you because I live only 20 mins away from Detroit and go there a lot. I also used to work at the emergency center at one of the hospitals downtown, and just seeing all the crack addicts that go there, and how frequently they go there because of them being homeless is obviously the reason to Detroit's problems.
