an obscure indie-styled band from canada, born ruffians are probably my favourite band of the last couple of months ago. it's not as if their songs are really catchy, the bass and drums fit together perfectly, and the guitar and bass fit together. you'll know what i mean when you listen to them (when, not if). i don't really know what to compare them to, but spotify says tokyo police club and good shoes, which is bullshit, so listen to some at the bottom of this post. They are currently signed to Warp Records. The members are Luke LaLonde (guitar/vocals), Mitch Derosier (bass) and Steven Hamelin (drums), recently they have recruited Andy Lloyd (guitar/keyboard) to fill in for live shows.
http://bornruffians.com/ (might know this from skins/inbetweeners if you're from uk

probably, but i've never listened to a band in the same way
Are you sure the 2nd song is in Inbetweeners?
Are you sure the 2nd song is in Inbetweeners?
that's where i recognised it from
I liked it.
hmm... as you said in the UK reference, i heard humming bird in Skins and it was great! Really led me onto some great bands/albums including this band and Harlem Shakes who I recommend!
I know Foxes Mate for Life.
My friend let me listen to these guys one day. They are pretty cool. I really like the drums.
