(CNN) — As liberals flock to Detroit this week for a major progressive confab, a leading grassroots group announced a big fundraising haul to help Democratic candidates ahead of the midterm elections.
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee said Wednesday that it raised over $1 million this campaign cycle. The report comes a day before the kickoff of Netroots Nation, the largest annual gathering of progressives in the country.
I think she should go for it. Hillary is an old DC insider and isn't going to energize a Democratic base that is thoroughly demoralized by how the Obama administration turned out. If Hillary runs, they'll get apathetic, stay indoors on election day, and deliver the country into the hands of the Tea Party.
I'd also imagine she'd have a hard time gaining votes. Obama has that down to earth charm that the youth like, and nothing about her character really resonates like that.

You're right, she needs to pull a reverse Michael Jackson so she can be more like Obama.

Her and Bernie sanders should run together as democrats
For some reason I thought Hillary had already confirmed she was running. I don't know what will happen if she doesn't

Hillary is a blue-blooded aristocrat, and Democrats know it. They also know she'll deliver the same faux-liberal policies as Obama and Clinton. We haven't had a progressive president in 40 years, and we're not going to turn out to support Hillary in sufficient numbers. "Vote for me to stop this batshit crazy Republican from getting elected" is an argument that only goes so far.

and if you think Obama is baggage try having the last name 'Bush'
the name bush is positively refreshing compaired to the crap under obama or clinton any more, bush invaded 2 countries, obama hasn't even intervened in two countries let alone invade

i honestly think there's so much dirt on hillary that if she did run as the main democrat, the republicans regardless of the candidate will bury her in her own dirt

So the measure of a good president is related to how many countries he invades?

One step forward and two steps back

Bernie Sanders isn't a Democrat

His only chance of winning would be running on a democratic ticket is what I meant. And he
Leans closer then to republicans.

To be fair, we'll have to see just how batshit crazy the Republican candidate will be to see how far it will go. It could be enough depending on who gets nominated.

Yeah I think a lot of people underestimate how willing Democratic voters would be to dump Hillary in favor of someone like Warren. A primary between the two of them would be incredibly interesting, I'd be curious to see who would go negative first, I suspect the answer is obvious.
Never heard of her until now. Just looked up her political stances, most seem okay but her foreign policy looks like shit.

Chris Christie if he somehow manages to get past Bridge Gate, but that's been looking less and less likely.
Looking at her political stances, she also does not favor marijuana legislation and she's an absolute nuclear bomb when it comes to gun rights which some people might like but I totally disagree with. Her other positions are ok but they're not too different from your everyday democrat. She doesn't really have my vote.
