What are some of the risks of Ecstasy? What should a first time user be aware of? I know that very few pills are pure mdma, but assuming there are what should I have to worry about?
What a coincidence, I was just wondering that the other day.
just drink water & www.pillsreports.com and do your research
Drink lots of water. Always do your research. Know what to expect. Keep a flashlight or phone or something in your pocket. Glowsticks work too. If you start freaking out, pull it out of your pocket, light it up, and move it back and forth. Concentrate on it. Also don't buy ecstasy from Dallas unless you're for sure what you're taking. It's all full of Meth and shit.
Make sure you [somewhat] trust your source, drink GATORADE or another sports drink as it contains NaCl and wont fuck up your sodium levels like drinking a shit ton of water will.

I like orange gatorade. The bottle looks neat to so it's fun to make a bong with. [editline]04:47AM[/editline] OH ALSO, smoking weed on E feels amazing.
I want to reiterate to have a phone or something lighted to wave around and look at. I promise you. When you're on E your eyes constantly shoot left and right. You will freak the fuck out if you don't have something to focus on.
good to know. I also am curious what the long term side effects of X are? I hear the stereotypical "It'll burn wholes in your brain" answer, but I (as I should) question the credibility and reliability of that statement. What will X to me long term?
I heard the more you do it, the less good the high is.
I heard the more you do it, the less good the high is.
Yeah, that's called tolerance, and it is a phenomenon that occurs with just about every drug.
No man, this tolerance is different. It stays there man. What the shit is that all about???
Something about the E staying in your spinal cord / draining your spinal cord fluid.
Something about the E staying in your spinal cord / draining your spinal cord fluid.
myth
Haha one of my friends believes that, and thinks his back hurts after doing e

The only real major thing with long term abuse of ecstasy is depression. It can give you serotonin syndrome if you do it too often and it can stick around for a long time. Also can kill brain cells, but as long you're spacing out a 2 week break in between each roll then your brain should still stay intact
"should still stay intact" Lol'd
One danger is that you may lose rational thought while peaking, so don't drive, walk along/across a road or cross any train tracks.
Try not to do anything stupid and don't take too much. Drink water before you get thirsty, not after. But don't go necking 8 bottles of water and killing yourself, that counts as doing something stupid.
Or maybe you should do absolutely no research at all, drink whatever you like and trip yourself the fuck out while expecting little-to-no of the drug. You know they say knowledge is power. [editline]03:45PM[/editline] Seriously, that's what I'd do. Probably.
and thats why drugs are illegal
It doesn't kill brain cells. It damages serotonin receptors on cells, which can get recovered if you don't abuse hell of it. Damage happens when dopamine touches serotonin receptor, and then it stays there. Also long term damage - memory problems, anxiety problems, general dumbness... that's main symptoms I can remember Short term - some days after usage - depression, anxiety problem. Doesn't happen first times/ with responsible use.

As for risks, my advice to anyone that would want to experiment with drugs, don't ask for 'help' - research and make an informed choice instead of relying upon internet forums.

So cells don't respond to serotonin anymore, I think they still respond from other neurotransmitters.

I would hate to see someone who's taken so much E that he just can't get happy anymore... Also, serotonin is the stuff that makes you happy(not directed at the people posting), call me dumb but I wouldn't be surprised if people reading this don't know.
If you use it a lot your brain will bleed. Also serotonin deficiency, which will make you want to die (literally). If you take ecstasy like once every couple months at the most I don't think you'll have any problems. [editline]12:30PM[/editline] www.erowid.org Read up.
I don't think E causes strokes however the second point I agree with.

don't pop too often, it's really horrible for your brain. [editline]12:29AM[/editline]
It doesn't kill brain cells.
