Uhh, I've spotted a hostile Aircraft Carrier in your AO, over.
Oh god they're doing MW3's ad campaign except with 4 instead of 3.
I'd feel sorry for DICE for having to do such fast turn arounds on this, but they were the once who started Premium so I don't care much.
I'll still buy it probably. I enjoyed BF3 immensily, even if I haven't even played the last two DLC.
Submarine Warfare? Strange.
I thought naval warfare was quite fun in BF1942, hopefully this will be equally enjoyable. Whilst I'm not a big fan of EA's marketing, the expansions for bf3 were quite good so I'll be looking out for this one.
If they HAVE to tack on a singleplayer element then I hope it's better than bf3's, something that lets you try out/practice multiplayer mechanics (vehicles, ect) offline would be a nice feature
I'm not sure how they are gonna implement naval warfare and still manage to cater to casual gamers with it
That'd be really cool if they implemented those mini-submarine things that Navy SEALS use

On another note, I hope they make this game more focused on real life. Like, instead of just "America vs. Russia", have like, maps where you are specifically SEAL Team 6 or Spetsnaz commandos or something. Something along the lines of MoH: Warfighter, only less stupid.

The last two DLCs are the best of them all (excluding Back to Karkand). Aftermath and EndGame are both very well balanced.

I'm only interested in such games which I can mod and I have high interests in ARMA III.
They have nucular subs of mass boating.
I have to admit, I'll probably get this day 1 if this means adding back in BF1942 style boats with Frostbite 2's destruction.

Two years isn't that huge a turn around given that they already have the engine and probably a larger headcount thanks to the success of BF3.
Battlefield 3 was too big of a disappointment.
I just couldn't have fun with it.

Because as we all know "casuals" simply do not understand how boats work.
They had boats in BF3, you know.
Seems like they're advertising Battlefield 3: 2. I mean, are they just going to make the ads identical with the same gsh gsh gsh music and orange tint over half of the images.

From the little we know it seem like it will be BF3 with more shit in your eyes.
I anticipate lots of water and rain in BF4.

Endgame's horrible IMO. No new weapons, attachments or anything like that either. Aftermath is definitely awesome and B2K is one of the better ones too.

CTF would be cool but everyone just fucking goes for the kills rather than actually working together so one team always steamrolls the other every time.
The maps are tiny so it's kinda eh on conquest as well. Once I got the assignments done for it I just jumped back to vanilla. Kharg, Caspian and Firestorm can take me back anytime.

I'm becoming convinced that that's more a problem with the playerbase than it is the game mode itself. You see this in a lot of shooters now; the K/D ratio is the name of the game while any actual objective gameplay and teamwork is largely secondary.

That's exactly how it seems to be after the release of endgame, When I started it up I loved the bikes, they felt great to drive, the maps looked good and ran smoother than ever. But then the moment you roll out of spawn every engineer and his dog's got you locked with a javelin which'l never hit you because you've already been killed by a mine, and the rest of your team's doing the same so the flags just sit there the whole game.
It's not the developer's fault that the playerbase is so terrible at making the game fun to play but it wouldn't hurt if they did something to encourage a more hands-on style of gameplay.

Well to be honest the javelin is almost hilariously overpowered against the dirtbikes (no lock-on warning or warning of any kind really makes for a dead driver) so that might be a strike against DICE but as far as the strategy you're talking about...when it's the most effective strategy out there, it's hard to blame people for just spamming mines and missiles everywhere. I have yet to find anything that works better.

Something like a time delay when a bike hits a mine (so you wouldn't take much damage whilst going fast, as you should be) and maybe a warning beep when being locked on would make endgame infinitely more playable, so I suppose that is something Dice would help by doing. Unfortunately I can't see them coming back to balancing BF3 in a hurry now that a new one's about to be released.
Oh good I get to spend another $120 on a game.
Okay...
