• Japan, S.Korean military planes defy China's new defense zone
(Reuters) - Japanese and South Korean military aircraft flew through disputed air space over the East China Sea without informing China, officials said on Thursday, challenging a new Chinese air defense zone that has increased regional tensions and sparked concerns of an unintended clash. The move came after Tokyo's close ally Washington defied China's demand that airplanes flying through its unilaterally announced zone identify themselves to Chinese authorities, flying two unarmed B-52 bombers over the islands on Tuesday without informing Beijing.
rest of article
Russians are gonna fly over next, calling it!
I say we give the islands to Argentina. Then they can leave the Falklands alone. Or give it to Britain to go up on the shelf next to the Falklands.
Russians are gonna fly over next, calling it!
N.Korea and they'll accidentally drop a bomb by "mistake"
China must feel like they're defending nothing at all!
Didn't the US instantly fly over it too?
Now you two, just because America did it doesn't mean you should :v:
Just because America did it doesn't mean you have to.
If you wanna be cool you do
Didn't the US instantly fly over it too?
Yep! US flew two unarmed B-52s through the zone
Man all this media chest thumping about how America 'defied' China is making me nauseous. China set up Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) not a Air Defence Zone (ADZ) or a No Fly Zone (NFZ). Any fucking plane can fly into a ADIZ. An ADIZ simply gives China international basis to moniter, identify, and track any planes going through the zone if they choose too. And since the B-52s were skirting around the edge of the ADIZ, even if China sent planes to tail them, the B-52s would be long gone. From time to time you see Russian Tu-95 bombers go into the Alaskan ADIZ without forewarning and nobody gives a shit about it. Russia doesn't give a crap about US's ADIZ, China doesn't give a crap about Japan's ADIZ over the senkaku/diauyu islands so why would you expect the US to follow China's ADIZ rules? Edit:Spelling
its just funny though because China essentially claimed all the air between Tiwan Japan and south Korea and expect people to take it seriously

I use ancient Ming Dynasty maps to decide my borders. wait a minute...
its just funny though because China essentially claimed all the air between Tiwan Japan and south Korea and expect people to take it seriously
An ADIZ zone is not an extension of a country's territory, therefore China did not 'claim' the airspace to be theirs.
its just funny though because China essentially claimed all the air between Tiwan Japan and south Korea and expect people to take it seriously
That's not really what an identification zone is. Japan has had one since the 60s. It doesn't mean they've claimed the air for 50 years. [t]http://i.imgur.com/rrPSq67.jpg[/t]
China's just seeing what they can get away with. It's been the same story for years. Evidently though they can't get away with much. Edit: Ratings what?
China you whore, getting penetrated by everyone
I remember seeing on CNN, the US did this also.
Oh you gonna get it all over you ass now.
It's like they're playing a game of dare to cross the really high plank of wood first, but then there's some pissed off little asian kid below screaming it belongs to him.

The airspace isn't claimed by anyone, all that will happen is they may send something to intercept just to see who you are.
