I'll take that with honor.
The phone call came in around 11:30 Monday morning, from a male caller who claimed he'd killed several people and was holding several more hostage in a house in the 27100 block of 16 Avenue in Aldergrove.
Langley RCMP cordoned off the area.
Members of the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team (ERT) moved in with police dog services.
Paramedics were on standby.
At first, no one responded to a police loud hailer.
Then a woman stepped outside around 12:38 p.m. and was arrested.
There were no bodies or hostages inside the house, she told police, only her two teenage children.
The call was a hoax.
When the teens followed their mother outside, they were arrested for public mischief.
Police are now investigating the possibility the family computer was hacked by the actual person who made the prank call.
At the request of the family, the computer has been seized by for examination by the RCMP Tech Crimes Unit.
Probably. :v:
Well, this isn't that bad. The title made it sound like the cops shot a bunch of people when they raided the house.

Yeah, I was wondering why the thread had the "Humor" icon for it.

That's what I thought until I started wondering why the police were taking hostages.
poorly worded title OP
Misleading title of the month
Change the title. Seriously misleading.

They're going to find a LOT of porn.
Can they even arrest the family for public mischief?

"HOLD IT YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR PUBLIC MISCHIEF"
They're going to find a LOT of porn.
I bet the kid named his porn folder
"Sex and The City 2"
No one sane would open that folder.
"When the teens followed their mother outside, they were arrested for public mischief."
So when you give yourself to police you get charged with that or something?
Is everybody rating it friendly because they didn't read the article or what? :v:

Such is life on Facepunch.

It sounds like the police are going to work with the family so the charges will most likely be dropped.
The title tells me:
"The police came in, started killing people, and then held the remaining people hostage. But not really."
:v:
The "Go advanced" button still does not fucking work for me so I can't get into the advanced editing page to change the thread.
Just wait until someone bursts in the thread complaining about how the police are prone to killing when it's not needed and all that nonsense

Hit the edit button twice
Hahaha wow that was so misleading. Read the article like 30 times trying to find out who died.
