The movies we all love and remember from out childhoods returns with Steven Spielberg as producer. Jurassic Park IV, a movie we've all been waiting for for a long time, is finally comming. (Atleast this is what we can hope for!)
As for now, no actors, directors och writers has been announced, neither do we know what the film's plot is. Although I've heard rumors that the plot is that Dr. Hammond has learned from his mistakes and returns to Isla Nublar along with Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm to build up the part and reopen it.
What do you guys think? I'm excited as fuck to see how this turns out. :v:
I can't find any official source from Universal Studious themselves, but I hope this will soothe your needs.

Shit yeah!
Jeff Goldblum needs to return
j3 weren't that bad
Oh, this can go eat a di-Spielberg's producing?
My money!
The T-Rex will survive the asteroid impact by hiding in a refrigerator
Hope Sam Neill is in it!

I agree, the plot is pretty good IMO. I don't get why people hate it so much.

Better than the original script that had human/dog/dinosaur hybrid lfieforms as a military squad!

"Dude the Spinosaurus is slightly bigger than the T-rex we should have it kick the T-rex's ass and then eat a bunch of people"
"doesn't the Spinosaurus eat fish?"
"LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU"
that's why
Hmm, never thought I'd see the day. I don't feel strongly one way or the other.

T-rex is over rated anyway.
So Star Wars and Jurassic Park are officially returning, what else?

I agree, seems like a much better idea. That being said, I recall the velociraptors in the third film being more "intelligent", and the humans were able to "communicate" using the 3D printed Velociraptor "resonator" replica. I wonder; if Jurassic Park IV were to feature the raptors at a higher level of intelligence, like if they showed signs of culture or knew how to use tools like great apes do, would that be a relevant feature or would it just be silly and vestigial?
On one hand it'd be kinda cool to see a raptor with tribal markings cooking a dinosaur over a fire, but on the other hand it'd probably be a bit out of place and more suited to some other kinda movie. But at least it would be more "natural" than engineered supersoldiersaurs.

Well, they didnt really communicate wih the raptors as confuse the heck out of them/luckily send out a distress cry with it. The raptors in the JP series have always teen touted as being very intelligent.
Better not be as shit as the last two.
The third one was an absolute train-crash.
Hopefully this one will breath some life and exercise the potential of the series.

I trust this guy, he's a dino-expert
if you know what I mean

That they do, but I was just wondering if their intelligence was so great that things like culture and an understanding of tools would be within their grasp. I think it could work; it could prove to be an obstacle in the alleged plot of rebuilding the park and reopening it, with the velociraptors proving to possess an almost-human level of intelligence, sparking not only organised "raids" on the rebuilding effort, but also questions as to whether InGen should be rebuilding the park, since technically the islands of Sorna and Nublar would belong to it's natives.
Then again, technically Isla Sorna (apparently Site B) was the island designated as a nature preserve, whilst Isla Nublar, the actual site of the park, wasn't designated as such; nonetheless the island would technically be Velociraptor turf since the humans left the place behind, though I dunno how international territory laws work in those kinda circumstances.

Uh nope I would have been fine with just the original movie
Oh cool that must means they're going to base it off of Michael Crichton's fourth Jurassic Park book..
Oh wait.
I wish they would go back an more closely follow michael crichton's books. They completely removed some of my favorite scenes.

Pretty sure all the original were dealt with, the rex killed 2 of them, and the third was locked in a freezer, although the fact that they laid eggs means that raptors could appear on Nublar in the 4th flm.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. JP3 wasn't all that great, and as a diehard JP fan, it made me face palm a bit. Personally, the mad scientist in me loves the whole dinosaur/human hybrid idea, but I'm strange like that.
Still, I'm hoping that it'll be a great deal better than the third movie.
Doesn't matter how much justice this movie does, it'll never beat the masterpiece that was Jurassic Park: The Lost [del]Potential[/del] World.
