• Mike Pence Breaks Senate Tie To Allow States To Defund Planned Parenthood
WASHINGTON― Vice President Mike Pence cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate on Thursday to overturn an Obama administration rule and allow states to withhold Title X family planning money from Planned Parenthood. The House passed a resolution last month disapproving of the Health and Human Services rule, which in December 2016 barred states from defunding Planned Parenthood or other Title X recipients for any reason other than the provider’s “ability to deliver services to program beneficiaries in an effective manner.” The Senate could have advanced the resolution with a 52-member majority, but moderate Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) voted with the Democrats to uphold the rule, leaving a tie. Pence, who has led the fight against reproductive rights for more than half a decade, voted with Republicans to move forward with the resolution. “Mike Pence went from yesterday’s forum on empowering women to today leading a group of male politicians in a vote to take away access to birth control and cancer screenings,” Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of Planned Parenthood, said in a statement. “There’s a reason they could barely get enough votes to get this bill through a procedural step: People are sick and tired of politicians making it even harder for them to access health care, and they will not stand for it.”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/mike-pence-breaks-senate-tie-to-allow-states-to-defund-planned-parenthood_us_58dd1fd3e4b05eae031da631?tjmz324hovujvy4x6r&
Mike Pence has gone from silence to showing his true colours, then
im becoming tired of finding new ways to express my disgust in words
This is so fucking stupid. Isn't there a study that says PP decreases the rate of poverty in surrounding areas? Aren't abortions not funded by the state? Does nobody consider the fact people will die because of this? Is there anything Republicans won't kill? "Muh babbies though each are G-d's speicl angles"
Don't let this distract you from unwarranted surveillance, wire-tapping, and russians, etc. long 4 years ahead
“There’s a reason they could barely get enough votes to get this bill through a procedural step: People are sick and tired of politicians making it even harder for them to access health care, and they will not stand for it.”
Hurry up and do something about it then. I know Americans have a ridiculously high level of bullshit tolerance/complacency, but this is getting ridiculous.

Catch me out here about to suplex Mike Pence right into the garbage. Dunno how anyone would ever consider him anything but evil tbh.
Mike Pence has gone from silence to showing his true colours, then
Excuse me? Everyone knows his stances on this, it's not even close to being a secret.
Don't let this distract you from unwarranted surveillance, wire-tapping, and russians, etc. long 4 years ahead
Hopefully it ends up not being 4 years.
Someone should create a website for all the misdeeds trump is doing and has done. Similar to the Obama one someone on the right side of isle did years ago. Can't seem to find the link. Basically a website with news sources and videos.
Hopefully it ends up not being 4 years.
Even if Trump goes out, The Russian Interference has given the Green light for intelligence agencies to violate liberties to protect the country.

It was 600 dollars for 3 pills.
How many states are going to lose very important family planning falicities that cover what, 80% of the time doing things other than abortions, because of this Pence bastard?
How many states are going to lose very important family planning falicities that cover what, 80% of the time doing things other than abortions, because of this Pence bastard?
Well more than that. Abortions account for a fraction of a percent of the work that PP does, and we're not publicly funded either way. This is an attack on basic reproductive health services.
Catch me out here about to suplex Mike Pence right into the garbage. This is why. He's literally a comic book villain that emerged whole-cut from the cloth of the human psyche, and now stalks the halls of the Capitol Building, feasting on good to sustain his otherworldly intrusion in to our plane. We are but mere pawns of cosmic powers beyond man's comprehension, beyond the mercy of God or torment of Satan, trapped in Mike Pence's thrall. Now imagine he actually had the big fancy chair in the White House, and what sort of fun EO's he would dream up. But hey, he wouldn't be vacationing to Mar-A-Lago, he'd be jerking himself off in to his bible in the Lincoln Bedroom every night. (Un?)fortunately this won't affect my State too much as far as I can tell, since we've already done everything we can to blam Planned Parenthood in the face on a State and Social level.
is corporate welfare ok when the recipient provides a service that can be turned into a politicized issue for progressives?
Well more than that. Abortions account for a fraction of a percent of the work that PP does, and we're not publicly funded either way. It's a damn awful blow and it's stupid this is happening. I wish you luck.
is corporate welfare ok when the recipient provides a service that can be turned into a politicized issue for progressives?
it provides much more than abortion services, and they recieve no funding for their abortion services from taxpayer dollars anyway
Mike Pence has gone from silence to showing his true colours, then
I don't think Mike "zap the gays" pence was ever hiding the fact that he's red.
hey mike go eat a dick
Well, people keep saying, "Gosh, Trump's so bad that I almost wish Pence was the Prez." No. No you really don't. Fuck statistics and human rights I only need the word of what's written in my 2000 year old pile o' fiction. Gotta find ways to de-educate the masses so they're stupid to vote for people like Trump and Pence.
Don't let this distract you from unwarranted surveillance, wire-tapping, and russians, etc. long 4 years ahead
Fuck me, there's just too much shit going on to keep getting outraged over.
Fuck me, there's just too much shit going on to keep getting outraged over.
The non stop barrage of shit won't stop coming. Apathy will only allow for more nonsensical, outrageous policies to pass.
