Washington (CNN)Chairman of the powerful House oversight committee Jason Chaffetz may not finish out his term in Congress, he said Thursday, a departure that would invite jockeying for his high-profile position. Chaffetz on Wednesday surprisingly announced he would not run for reelection, and the following day he told CNN that he may resign early. "My future plans are not yet finalized but I haven't ruled out the possibility of leaving early," Chaffetz told CNN in a text message. "In the meantime I still have a job to do and I have no plans to take my foot off the gas." News that Chaffetz might step down before the end of his term was first reported by KSL radio. Chaffetz, a Utah Republican who unsuccessfully ran for House speaker in 2015, chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and played a visible role in investigations related to Planned Parenthood and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/20/politics/jason-chaffetz-term-house-resign/ Though unconfirmed, rumors are circulating that Chaffetz appears to be resigning in response to an ethics complaint filed against him alleging the following: 1) Obstruction of Justice in Trump-Russia Probe 2) Use of Illegal Email Server 3) Illegal Campaign Spending 4) Unethical conduct (including leaked Comey letter on Clinton emails) http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/20/politics/jason-chaffetz-term-house-resign/
What the hell is an "illegal email server"?
finallyyyyyyy
What the hell is an "illegal email server"?
Probably hosts rust ban appeal applications or something
Chaffetz, the man who had before the election said he was looking forward to another four years of investigating Clinton's email server, having an illegal email server would be the absolute peak of hypocrisy and amusement. Please let it be true.
What the hell is an "illegal email server"?
The same spiel he and his fellow Republicans tried to crucify Clinton for.

I hope not so soon. He seems to be a moderating force on the really loud guys like Cummings and Gowdy, and I'd hate to see such an important committee fall to petty partisanship.

Yeah chaffetz seems very petty
2) Use of Illegal Email Server
Oh please, please, PLEASE let this be true!
BUT... HIS EMAILS!

Instead of just obstructing the investigation, would they openly declare allegiance to Russia?
