Hydrogen peroxide is pretty cool. It's easy to get and you can get creative with it even with pre-college chemistry. You can easily make makeshift rockets with it, although it requires some patience to get right. You also can mix it with other, very easily obtained shit to make various kinds of explosive shit. It's really great.

They were trying to make TATP with 3 liters worth of peroxide? Let them, it would've blown up before they even managed to leave the room with it. You just don't make batches that big (or that many batches).
