Two blind friends said they felt "disgusted" after being refused flights because of safety concerns. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-22365898
does anyone actually read them?
They always go over safety instructions verbally anyway.

I instantly thought it was an American airline.
What? That's flippin' absurd. When I was flying home on leave once, there was a blind woman being led by an escort to the terminal. Since I was in uniform, they just sat her next to me and asked that I help her out in the event that she needed anything. It makes no sense to bar them entry to the flight when there is an entire planeload of people, both the flight staff and other passengers, who are happy to help out.
I'm sorry, but.. Lauren Wigglesworth?

The issue wasn't that they couldn't read the instructions (they always read them to everyone anyway), it was that thay couldn't put on a life jacket and oxygen mask without assistance. Which is still kinda silly. I mean you could always just tell them how to do it or give them one and give a bit of hands-on instructing. And there's lots of other people on board to assist them anyway.
And there's lots of other people on board to assist them anyway.
some would probably think twice before helping
