It looks like the same old Call of Duty, frankly.
is it me or do these graphics not look great
is it me or do these graphics not look great
I disagree, the graphics are the only saving grace of this game because those visuals are pretty damn crisp.
The amount of stuff on the screen at any given time is kinda crazy for a WWII game, especially when most of is useless information like "reload!" the kill feed, or the dirt on screen when you dive for some reason.

doesn't mean much when almost every gun, uniform, vehicle and camouflage is historically inaccurate

I guess that's coming something like RedOrch2? although I guess now that I remember the game still had the UI elements, they just worked a lot differently. Not every kill comes up etc.
the main thing making me not want to play this game is the disgusting amount of stuff they throw in your vision, like I don't need blood all over my eyeballs to know i'm dying
there's one part in the video at 0:40 where he jumps off a 5 foot high ledge and the game splashes dust on his screen. like why?
I like the 3 medals you get shoved in your face for shooting someone
I was interested in this because of the WaW nostalgia factor but this just looks like a reskinned version of one of the various recent forgettable cod titles
I played it at a PSVR demo. It felt like COD 2 but worse.
"hey bobby k, you remember all those mobility moves and other engaging gameplay mechanics we added in the post-modern and outright sci-fi CODs? Why dont we just throw them all away and instead make this game's gimmick a return to a creativity-restricting setting that has been done to death since 2007?"
Honestly, returning to WW2 was an AWFUL idea. If they go the historically accurate route (which they didnt), they will lose to games like Red Orchestra 2. If they go full-on crazy with the setting (which they also didnt even though they almost got there with Zombies), then they will be knocked out of the park by both new Wolfenstein games and arguably Battlefield 1 even though it's an entire world war off. They ended up making a lukewarm kind-of-authentic-but-not-really WW2 setting that appeals to no one.
I remember when bobby kotick was as big a meme as todd
It looks like the same old Call of Duty, frankly.
At least the old Call of Duty tried to keep itself thematically consistent. Here you can be a black female german soldier running around with american weaponry out of the spawn, with a hud super sleek and clean yet filling all sides of the screen compared to the original games trying to remain vaguely thematic and minimalist to intentionally avoid clutter.
There's a world war 2 game that looks like the original Day of Defeat, but modern, and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. It's new.
It looks FAR better than this CoD Garbage

Which is a good game if not a bit... barebones? I dunno, I played it for like a few hours and was good.

I don't think so, the footage I saw had crosshairs and didn't require iron sights much. It was basically Goldsrc Day of Defeat
I remember when bobby kotick was as big a meme as todd
I did a speech in high school about how much Bobby Kotick sucked
It's interesting to read the various CoD subreddits or watch CoD Youtubers who feel like every CoD release is drastically and noticeably different then come to FP and get told that they are all the same game.
is it me or do these graphics not look great
It's Call of Duty, the graphics have never been great.

In what world is a kill feed "useless information".

Honestly, what was the last CoD title you bought? This is such a hard misread of the CoD community. They have been asking for a return to "boots on the ground" gameplay for a couple years now. A big part of why Infinite Warfare died on arrival is because it was yet another jetpack boosting game with renamed specialists. A big part of the reason why that game even sold is because it came bundled with a remake of CoD4.
I honestly have no idea, so may I ask what people are using the kill feed for in CoD?
In counter-strike I could use it for so many things. You could watch the feed to see when teammates die. Knowing where they were on the map when they died (not hard considering the map design and that you always spawn together) allowed you to make changes to your route. If you knew where that player went you knew where the action was going down if you saw him die. Seeing a sniper rifle in the feed lets you know not only what tactics to employ to avoid that rifle and when when the rifle user dies, but it also lets you know things like how many automatic weapons there aren't. And that's not even getting into the idea that to gave a good kill feed, you need to have to designed your weapons to have iconic silhouettes like HL2, CS, or TF2 so that the player can properly make heads or tails of what they're glancing up (or down) at.
Considering in this game players jump in and out at random, can pick weapons at will, and respawn.. What am I supposed to be doing with the information from that feed? See that someone on my team died and do what? It's obsolete information if you can't gleam anything from it that you can use to modify your choices on the fly.

Like, shit. They don't even try to hide it.

Actually, what the players should be asking is for Activision to kill CoD.
For good.
Nothing good will ever come out of it other than remakes of... Well, remake of MW2.

I've never seen anyone complain about the killfeed before.
That's just odd.
This is the point of the hype cycle where people realize it's just more CoD and I get annoyed because of the earlier months of people yelling at me for saying so.

I was complaining about useless clutter on the screen and listed some examples of useless clutter I saw, idk man.

It's the bizarre phenomenon of people who don't like a series dictating what the series should be. People see CoD going back to World War 2 so expect it to be like Red Orchestra 3 or some shit, and are surprised when it just looks "like a prettier World at War".
Of all the series of games over the years you'd expect this one to be the point where people would stop hoping against hope that they would radically change things up to chase an audience who hasn't supported them in years, but here we are.

It's not useless clutter. The killfeed shows who killed who and with what weapon they used. Contrary to your post, people don't spawn in randomly, and while they can change weapons, most people tend to run one game a match. Even if they do change weapons, it's still good information to have on what the enemy team is using. If I see someone going on fat sprees with the Brecci in Black Ops 3 I know I should be careful around corners. If I see a teammate go right and get killed by an LMG then maybe I should flank.
I've genuinely never seen anyone complain about a killfeed being in a shooter before, and I have to imagine that if a series of multiplayer titles with about a dozen consecutive releases suddenly decided to drop it there would be massive outcry.

This made me realize that I probably should start applying some strategy to CoD games because to be completely honest with you guys all my matches consist of me basically holding down forward and pressing fire
LOL they fucking reused animations from modern warfare, a game from almost 10 fucking years ago

I'm pretty sure they still use a modified Quake 3 engine from 2003, too. It's just been so heavily reworked, altered, switched up and so forth, but at its core its still IdTech underneath all that.
