http://www.zdnet.com/article/apple-recalls-beats-pill-xl-due-to-fire-risk/
Apple is voluntarily recalling 222,000 Beats Pill XL speakers following eight reports of batteries overheating and one user who was burned. The injured user received a burn to their finger, while another user discovered their desk had been damaged by the speaker. A further 11,000 units are being recalled in Canada, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Apple recommends that users stop using their Beats Pill XL speaker and send it back, where they will receive Apple Store credit or an electronic payment for $325. Details on how to send your speaker back for a refund can be found here.
Is it just me or has the quality of Apple products declined ever since Steve Jobs died. Isn't this like the third time someone has been burned by a fucked up battery?
Is it just me or has the quality of Apple products declined ever since Steve Jobs died. Isn't this like the third time someone has been burned by a fucked up battery?
The quality of their everything has declined after Jobs died and after Cook canned Forstall.
everything is downhill with apple these days tbh.
They're getting too hot from people playing their fire mixes
Is this something Apple made or something Beats made pre acquisition?
Those Beats were just too sick for their own good.
Is this something Apple made or something Beats made pre acquisition?
Beats Pill XL was released before Apple acquired beats. It's just people on Facepunch are too retarded to check facts before wrongly shitting on Apple. The apple hate bandwagon is still strong
Well, you know what they say.. An Apple™ a day helps keep the doctor well paid.
Beats Pill XL was released before Apple acquired beats. It's just people on Facepunch are too retarded to check facts before wrongly shitting on Apple. The apple hate bandwagon is still strong
Yeah guys, the iPhones that caught on fire were made before Apple bought Apple. You guys fucking suck.

I'm just trying to figure out how the hell they managed to set fire to a speaker.
Says the Apple user.
Hey look, I'm using a refurbished 2012 Mac mini to post this. I got this one because the 2014 model sucks ass. Hard.
The quality of their everything has declined after Jobs died and after Cook canned Forstall.
Eh, to be fair it wasn't perfect with Jobs either. If he didn't know how something was done, he wouldn't let it get integrated, and that's why a lot of stuff got held back.
Little story I have, Had a macbook 2007, The charger got so hot at times. I'm saying, 50-70 celcius. This is on the outside, as well. Not inside. I have LITTERLY burnt my hand on the charger. This is an OFFICAL apple charger, mind you.
Yeah guys, the iPhones that caught on fire were made before Apple bought Apple. You guys fucking suck.
To be perfectly fair some of the cases of iPhones malfunctioning and batteries overheating are far older than Steve Jobs' death. The iPhone 4 had a couple of cases where it just fucking blew up and some 3GS models had defective batteries which ballooned up and became extremely swolen, causing the whole device to crack itself open. Moreover, as far as phones go (doubt it applies to headphones), one of the main reasons why they overheat and explode is due to overcharging and applying too much pressure on them, ie people who put the phone in their back pocket and their sit on it, lodging the device between their ass and a chair while pressing into it, which can cause some very nasty results. I'm not going to argue over the fact that apple got a large decrease in product quality because I don't know much about this whole issue other than the iPhone 6 being so overly thin it bends if you so much as look at it sideways, but apple devices malfunctioning is not a recent thing, and I doubt it got any more common in the past three years.
"Apple products are really on the decline these days" - facepunch user who would never buy an Apple product anyways and doesn't know anything about them [editline]8th June 2015[/editline] you would have to be daft to think only apple phones have LiPo swelling problems
everything is downhill with apple these days tbh.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/WZjSraa.png[/t] Wish I was going downhill like that
i honestly want to know what goes through the mind of the person that says 'apple is going downhill'. that's a flat-out lie. going downhill in what terms? certainly not net profit. certainly not build quality. certainly not software development. or company ethics, or environmental impact.
I get that people like to complain and hate on Apple... But they kind of have a point. Literaly everything Apple does is expensive as fuck, and every now and then, you get something that can fuck itself up and maybe even fuck you up, after also fucking up your wallet. Little bit of assured quality please?... It doesn't helps to know that most of the stuff Apple sells is expensive because Apple. (you know I'm right)
i don't understand how there isn't assured quality. they wouldn't be doing a precautionary recall if they didn't value that
i don't understand how there isn't assured quality. they wouldn't be doing a precautionary recall if they didn't value that
they wouldn't have to do it at all if they valued it either I mean, for heavens sake, 300€ for speakers that probably have worser sound quality than some phones, and on top of that, apparently are prone to problems Hell, even if they didn't have malfunctioning issues, they still wouldn't be worth 300€.
