Very slight dull pain when biting down on top left molar?
23 replies, posted
I just recently got this dull pain when biting down now. Well i'm going to the dentist in about 2 days but can anyone tell me what is most likely causing this?
EDIT:
Also I only feel this when eating food. When I check and clench my teeth after not eating for about 30 minutes it does not hurt anymore.
EDIT:
Also looking in the mirror it turns out that the tooth is slightly behind the other teeth. It's like 0.1 or 0.2 centimeters behind. Misaligned tooth?
THIS: Dull tooth pain is often more serious, and usually means the nerve inside the tooth has been irreveribly damaged.
Dull tooth pain is usually initiated with Hot temperatures, Hot coffee or soup.
It will tend to ache for a significant period of time.
It can wake you up in the middle of the night or just start to ache spontaneously.
It can also be initiated by tapping on the tooth.
Dull tooth pain originates from the nerve/pulp of the tooth. Dull tooth pain usually requires root canal therapy to relieve the problem.
Go to the dentist, op. We're not a fucking hospital.

Often i'd consult the internet before (possibly) wasting my and the dentists time or whatever.
But teeth are serious buisness, look after them.

I already know that. I'm just asking since I just want to know what it is before I go.

You guys that say internet is not a doctor are idiots, often time it is better to ask someone / people before wasting time/money on the dentist when it might end up to be nothing.
You guys?
I'm pretty sure its just me. Also, this is facepunch. You all don't seem to get that most of us are just normal people who live normal lives and who aren't doctors or professionals.

"We're not doctors" means we don't know whether it is serious or not, that's why you check with a fucking doctor.
Probably wisdom teeth, unless you're the typical underage facepuncher
you obviously have a cavity, the alien should burst out of your tooth and devour your skull soemtime next week

Your fucking dumb
That's what was wrong with my bottom moler, I needed a crown on it due to the heavy tenderness. Getting a crown isn't that bad, just takes forever and they still give you Novocaine. :\

Wait I have this same problem too
FUCK
:suicide:
go to a doctor
Could be an abcess. I had a similar thing, it turned out to be an abcess under my tooth. Had to get a root canal.
Necrotizing faciitis!
Went to ze dentist. I have a crossbite on only one of my teeth and since getting a retainer or braces for a single tooth is kinda reduntant I now have to put pressure on my molar with my thumb outwards for every single day.
Do you grind your teeth alot? I had the same issue and it turns out I grind my teeth while I am sleeping, thus wearing down my teeth and causing that dull pain when I eat anything :c Going to the dentist tomorrow to get a mouth guard to stop me from doing it when i'm sleeping.
