Not sure if questions are allowed here but its been bothering me about Spider-man Unlimited, I was watching it on Netflix and in the intro it shows Peter Parker dropping a test tube on his hand and then he transforms into Spider-Man.
Atleast that's what I can tell from it. Is this show based in a different Marvel Universe?

I think the tube contained the super spider DNA or something. Its either that or the symbiote DNA and yes its in its own universe.
