Whats your view on religion, and how do drugs impact your religion if you have religious views?
I personally am raised Christian, but am more Agnostic, but I respect other religions.
They all basically say to be nice and to not hurt others.
Whether Jesus was real he has impacted more lives than myself or anyone I know ever will; same with Buddha as well as others.
To answer my own question drugs don't affect my religion since I'm more toward Agnostic. But I feel they bring out more of myself into the world.
I have a very nihilistic/scientific outlook on life, I do not believe in any sort of "spirituality" or "higher power".
I dislike religion in general, especially Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions, though I typically leave people alone about it unless they're being stupid.
I do, however, enjoy the mythology behind religions, especially ancient ones (Norse paganism, Greek mythology etc.)
I think drugs may have affected my beliefs in a rather subtle way, in that I have an easier time "thinking outside the box" when in an altered state (depending on the substance, of course) and end up asking more questions and hypothesizing about things.

I love mythology. I don't believe in it or anything but It's fucking interesting as hell. (No pun intended)
So many awesome stories and ideals. I hate bible-pushers too. But religion is for the so called 'Spiritual' need of us humans.
It's important to have something to believe in when your young so you feel like being good is the right thing.
But I think it just takes a push to realize that is all it's there for.
I believe everyone goes to whatever place they believe in (if your athiest, you go nowhere). I'm not sure if that's agnostic or scientific, but whatever.
Only when someone pushes their beliefs on me is when I get steamed.
After my trip on LSD, I found out that the human mind is an incredible machine capable of endless possibilities (repeating time, making seconds seem like years, and true hallucinations...or are you really hallucinating? :3:) and nothing is impossible, mentally.

or at least that's what I believe.
I don't care. If there's a god oh well, I'll deal with that once I'm dead.

This but with various other drugs
This but with various other drugs
I was raised Roman Catholic, but I'm now Agnostic. I made this switch before drugs, and if anything, drugs make me think more about there being some higher power.
I see christianity to just be a group of assholes that sit around all day and discuss what good things should be considered unchristian just because they disagree with it and I say this because I believe that christians want power over the entire human race.
I'm raised Christian, still am a strong Christian, but I don't push my beliefs. I'm very peaceful about my religion. I find atheists and the like lash out at us for absolutely no reason. The stereotype the whole following because of some people that take the religion much too far.
I smoke weed, I enjoy it. I follow a clean life though, but I do have fun. I drink or smoke when I so choose. Bible Thumper's are ridiculous and give every Christian a bad name.. And I also find atheists also have to make jokes a lot.. are you all so insecure? What the fuck is the point aside from starting an argument, such thing that you claim to try to avoid? Please answer that to me..
Now I won't stereotype as that'd make me a hypocrite but the ones who do make these jokes and picture and waste time doing so. Why? Do you have nothing better to do? Like honestly grow up, it's pathetic.

I make jokes about religion because I think they're fuckin' hilarious. As is the way people tend to overreact to it.
I have an extremely scientific view on life, the universe and all that jazz. I don't believe in any form of higher powers, including gods and spirits. I am strongly against organized religions, as these are very easily abused and used as a source of power, and I am digusted by the brainwashing done to children (parents raising their kids to follow x religion). I don't have much of a problem with personal beliefs (as in, beliefs you yourself have discovered, not beliefs from a thousand year old book), but I still have a harder time respecting religious people/people believing in higher powers, since it is simply illogical to believe in something without having any proof or logic to support that belief (or in some cases, completely dismissing proof and logic that conflicts with their beliefs, for example evolution).
I see atheists and the like as people who discover evidence and form their beliefs based on them, and "believers" as people who discover their beliefs and then seek evidence to support it.

As I said people who overreact make us all look bad. I just get sick of the shit, I don't judge anyone by their beliefs. I'd rather hang out with atheists because I find it interesting to see things from their point of view. I just get sick of the bullshit insults and general ignorant jokes.

The pictures and jokes are pretty stupid, and I agree with a lot of your plight.

Yeah, same with gay and black jokes..
I think my use of drugs has helped me see the bigger, expanded, and uncut version of the human experience.
I view life scientifically, like the two gentlemen above me. I do not believe in a higher power or deity, and I'm still one of the nicest, most caring people you will ever meet. I'm a great child (I'm 18. I'm talking about my relationship with my parents), a faithful friend, and a loyal lover.
I don't think one has to believe in a divine power to abide by a moral code, and to live a fulfilling and happy life.

Very true, People like you and I like to be nice because we feel good doing it. We like to make others feel good about themselves and know that we were there for them when they needed us.

Guess again :wtc:
I never really believed in any religion I always thaught it was outrageously far fetched.
one thing I have always wondered about thought is
say my parents never conceived me would I have been born into a different family?!?!?

As much as I hate to defend religion, your view on it is very narrow-minded. I bet (emphasis on bet, I'm not sure) your views aren't as scientific as you'd like them to be, in fact very few people use scientific/critical thinking outside very specific realms, and rarely apply it to things such as politics (I mean, what most people call "politics" is nothing but an absurd and bizarrely real show business), economics (the bailouts were tragicomical) and morals ("You're an immoral unicorn").
interesting forum to put this
i bet you ruined someones high cause they started worryin and shit

What?
I personally belive the universe is to complex to have only one plane of exitance. I dont know that there is a higer power or an after life, but i have a hunch those are on a higher exitance plane. I dont claim to know anything, but i belive that something has to happen to you after death, i mean everything in nature recycles. Why not the soul( if there is one)? I have put many weeks of thought into this? and plan to make a book about my findings.
religion to me is all the same BS
plus we live just to exist and we have no purpose in life really...

I believe that when I die I will go into a magical land of food, drink, weed and video games, a place where I will always stay buff and receive endless sex and blowjobs for all eternity
FUCK YEAH
Smoke Weed Erry Day?
Nah, I'm atheiest.
I believe religeon is all metaphors, something like "God" is only our way of putting the shifting of the universe until something we can understand.
If you look up at the stars, you're gone. You can't even begin to understand.
There is a veil, that seperates us from everything.
We live on a certain plane of existance and there are things around us that we can't even begin to understand.
So we put in terms that we do, and we call it "God"
