I tried that poise toggle command myself. It fucking works. So mad about it
Someone got an email back from support that the Poise being turned off wasn't intentional and should be turned on within the next few patches.

iirc, it isn't that poise is "turned off", I believe that the command people are talking about just sets the player's poise to maximum. Something is just keeping it from working correctly

Really? If so, would you care to PM how you did it?
I don't care about softbans

Well, time to prepare for PvP to potentially become awful. We'll see though, I guess.

pvp is already a cancerous estoc-fueled gankfest with no diversity

I'd be curious to learn about this as well. In searching online, you're the first person I've ever heard claim they can confirm this.
What do you mean "become"?
I realize pvp is very unbalanced atm, my point is that poise won't do anything to improve it.

Totally untrue, there's one hit fire and two hit lightbursts everywhere.
:yarr:

scrublords can effectively avoid being stunlocked due to not figuring out how to fight estocs/you can evade after two hits
The problem consists of not being able to use strong attacks because any attack will interrupt you and if you try to bait one into it, they'll probably avoid it since they're obvious

It'll make Estoc/Dark Sword spamming less viable on heavy armors, and give heavy armor some actual viability in PvP AND PvE, thus more build variety. It'll even potentially improve some medium armors, which outside of being used by builds that don't have the VIT to wear heavy armor, are pretty much completely useless right now as they don't have the protection that heavier armors provide, or the mobility that lighter armor has.
Balance will always be fucked in Souls PvP, as it has always been since DS1, but enabling poise will only encourage more build variety in the long run.

Not really true. There's several weapons that have attacks which can't be parried or interrupted in DS3. Morne's Hammer would like to tell you that you're wrong and forgetting about hyper armor in general.
Examples: horizontal UGS r1 attacks / some heavy weapon 2H vertical swings / whips / some weapon arts (looking at you Murakumo) / etc.

but anyone will notice and roll out of morne's special attack. heavy attacks are far easier to tell

Mileage varies based on how bad people are. I've had a ton of success with it.
But either way, you said players can't use heavy attacks "because any attack will interrupt you" and that's just not true.

Not sure if I agree on medium armor being useless.
Armor pretty much gets progressively more inefficient as far as defense per weight goes as it gets heavier.
You can see this clearly coming in effect when using this armor optimizer.

If medium armor was useless then a min maxed set would be a combination of light and heavy armor.
