I love how shooting the door lock makes it instantly slam shut, just like how it always works in the films :v:
this video has all the gameplay with zero commentary except for an intro at the beginning.

I want to get this because it's probably the closest (although it's not that close) to a Republic Commando 2. But then all the bullshit EA is doing, not to mention the loot box fiasco, is making sure I don't buy it.
I so want to play the campaign...

Every single time.
Don't be surprised if the game is a trainwreck.
I really want them to speed up the movement in the game. It's rather slow for something rather arcadey.
It has been reported that the campaign will last around 5-7 hours.

Don't let the Star Wars distract you from the fact that this is still a DICE game.
Don't let the Star Wars distract you from the fact that this is still a DICE game.
And the problem with that is....?
[editline]20th October 2017[/editline]
Also remember DICE isn't making the Campaign, only the Multiplayer, and not even all the Multiplayer, Criterion is making the vehicles and space content.
Criterion is also making the offline MP content, and Motive Studios are making the Campaign.

All the dialogue seems to be "gee, fuck rebels, the empire totally isn't the bad guys!"
All the dialogue seems to be "gee, fuck rebels, the empire totally isn't the bad guys!"
Well the Rebels are terrorists.
Eh, i'll just watch someone stream the singleplayer campaign and vote with my wallet.
Ill probably still end up buying this ,despite the whole loot box thing, because there hasn't been a good star wars game in a long time and I really wan't to play a good star wars game, which this is looking to be

That's what EA wants you to do. If you really wanna be rid of loot boxes, don't buy this.
Isn't this supposed to be 1:1 with the book that this is based on, or that the book is based on this, I don't know.
It's not quite the same as playing the game but you can always use your imagination while not supporting the game directly.
The book is a prequel to the game, it doesn't cover the game's story.

Or don't buy the boxes.
I think the lootbox phenomenon is due in part to the gaming demographic getting older, working jobs and thus having less free time and more disposable income.

That was DICE's explanation months ago when it was first announced. It is for people with little time to play.
Every single time.

I never said "Can't wait to buy the game". Not gonna ignore that the campaign looks great, least i'll just buy the book version if i want to use real money.

This deal keeps getting worse all the time.
Even if you just buy the game, you're telling EA the consumers are absolutely fine with the stupid system in the game.
They care about crate sales, if people don't buy the crates then that also impacts how it works.

I don't see a problem with this, forces people to play MP instead of just grinding offline.

How about letting people be free to choose how they play instead of forcing them?
How about letting people be free to choose how they play instead of forcing them?
Because it wouldn't be fair. What about the people who don't like to play against ai? Why should people who do get an advantage?
This is balancing.
Because it wouldn't be fair. What about the people who don't like to play against ai? Why should people who do get an advantage?

Balancing would be making single/co-op mode give as much (or less) credits as multiplayer per hour, this is just plain greed.

And lootbox purchases are fucking fair game?
[editline]21st October 2017[/editline]
Do you actually think about the shit you're defending, Tuskin? Honest question. Have you even spend a modicum of time thinking how these sorts of actions affect balancing and gameplay?
[editline]21st October 2017[/editline]
Are you willfully blind to the gambling hooks lootboxes have enabled publishers to put in AAA games?
And lootbox purchases are fucking fair game?
They made them fair by locking the content behind levels. You can't be OP from level 1.
Balancing would be making single/co-op mode give as much (or less) credits as multiplayer per hour, this is just plain greed.
MP doesn't have a credit cap AFAIK, so I don't see how it is greed, you can still grind credits in MP.
Because it wouldn't be fair. What about the people who don't like to play against ai? Why should people who do get an advantage?

If you have to time-gate your content so that people don't grind it to death, how about you make a system that does not create such a strong incentive to grind then ?
It's not like it's complicated because games have been doing a pretty good job at it for the past twenty fucking years.
They made them fair by locking the content behind levels. You can't be OP from level 1.
Oh, kiss my ass. It won't be possible to get every last piece of content you can possibly have at any given level without buying a metric fuckton of lootboxes so even if you purchase crates you'll still be at a significant advantage.
Big fucking whoop it's calculated pay to win instead of open ended pay to win, it's still fucking pay to win
Gee willikers I wonder why they make multiplayer, where you will be interacting with overpowered higher level p2w guys, more enticing than singleplayer.
Gee willikers I wonder why they make multiplayer, where you will be interacting with overpowered higher level p2w guys, more enticing than singleplayer.

Because it is primarily a MP game.

So the lootboxes are fair game.
You haven't actually spent time thinking what you're defending.
And you are willfully blind to the gambling hooks.
