Post your opinions about muscle cars
I like the old muscle cars better than the new ones.
The only problem I have with this thread is the last 2 cars. Emission controls don't let us make muscle cars like we used to.
Aren't these American cars that only function properly on American Roads because they have a shit turning circle?

You can manually tune them your self to your needs by the way

I am not a mechanic.
120mph, I lol'd
Oh you americans and your low speeds, I always lol when I watch the fast and the furious and their speedometers show like 80mph
Oh and pretty much no cars can wheelie.

Depends on what kind of wheelie you're talking about. 1cm off the ground for a split second or almost vertical for 5.
Muscle cars are awesome. The new ones look pretty dumb though.
Red blooded American awesomeness!
Stick to the 60s and you'll do fine.
I've got a '78 Firebird TA. It's gonna be awesome.
I LOVE muscle cars. I think the '71 Chevelle is my favorite. The only type of vehicle I love more is what I call "Muscle Trucks" Probably more because I have one and they are easier to find, and usually cheaper, but I also like the rush of being able to outrun ricers in a vehicle with twice their weight.
This is mine. '79 K20

Not without a shit ton of money for upgraded parts, and even then it still won't outmaneuver your basic Honda Civic.
I love muscle cars to death, but stock-to-stock many of the "legends" can be whipped by current family sedans.
Also, 25 mpg is a rediculous expectation for most of those, try 8 city and 12 highway.
-Above 300 BHP
-Makes a loud noise when revving
-Has the ability to do a wheelie when done correctly(not modified)
-From the 80's or earlier
-Has a unmodified speed of 120 MPH
-25 MPG
You forgot the most important thing: needs to have a V8.

lots of tuned cars can wheelie.
watch some dragstrip videos on youtube.
I love looking at muscle cars, even though I will likely never be able to afford one. However, I do applaud the advances in engine technology and we can make more powerful more efficient engines nowadays then we did back then.
I don't like American cars :saddowns:
I don't like American cars :saddowns:
Newer American cars pretty much all suck.
Older ones were fucking awesome.

The muscle cars were also cheap-ish, and heavy, which is why don't they go very fast.
The muscle cars were also cheap-ish, and heavy, which is why don't they go very fast.
They're heavy because they're tough as fuck.
My car was left in the backyard for 20 years (because my mom's an idiot) and it's still solid as a rock.

But why have a muscle car...just get a nice BMW, i do like the old Dodge Chargers but i would still have a BWM 530 over it..
My dad had a '69 Chevelle, looked almost exactly what this one looks like:

Then he sold that and bought a '67 Camaro, and he's been working on that.
Looks something like this: http://www.muscle-car-wallpaper.com/images/GM/Camaro%20Pictures/1967%20camaro/1967-Chevrolet-Camaro-06.jpg
Well, what is fast for you?
My VW Passat can do 120 and its a 1.9....
My car's gonna look something like this when it's done.
Hopefully.

A BMW is less 'exotic' than a muscle car in good condition.
Oh goodness. I have my radar out and I see an incoming shitstorm.
There's nothing quite like American muscle. I'd prefer a Mustang GT 500. Those are pretty nice.
To each his own though. You have to live in America to understand it.
Touring cars ftw.

Dude
Fast and Furious is a large budget movie
Us?
I don't think so
A BMW is less 'exotic' than a muscle car in good condition.
I would much MUCH rather have an Ariel Atom
WHAT THE FUCK WHY ISN'T THE 1969 DODGE CHARGER IN THAT LIST.
You obviously don't have good taste.
