Thanks for this dude, I heard they were presenting here but didn't catch the stream. God why can't this game just be here already, I fucking want it.
I went from "take my fucking money" to "cautiously excited" over this gameplay. From the looks of it my main gripe wasn't fixed at all which is the philosophy of "if there's more than two enemies on you you will get stunlocked into fucking oblivion and die." Also the inventory looks worse as a single list rather than a grid-based system. Everything else looks really good tho

Looks like Mount and Blade but with prettier graphics. I am fine by this, I am just one of those people that played multiplayer exclusively. It's so addicting. I could never figure out how to play singleplayer and I got bored pretty fast doing it.

The only multiplayer I play was in Napoleonic Wars, and that is probably only about 1/3rd of the time i spent in the game. This and Kingdom Come:Deliverance look like they are going to be itching some very good itches for me.
I hope that they make a new Napoleonic Wars to go with this :o

Its worth figuring out but some people just dont like that sort of thing i guess.

But if it makes you feel any better, they said two handed weapons will be able to hit multiple enemies now. Also, if anyone reads anything about the game supposedly supporting "400 player multiplayer modes", it's not true. It's a rumor started by some redditor taking a quote from the devs way out of context.
i didn't know adam driver was in this game
Well I'm kinda disappointed that it doesn't look like much more than a graphics upgrade and a slight combat system overhaul, but then again I loved the previous games so if they just make it more accessible in terms of modding with their new engine then mods can fill everything that is missing.
There's a non-shit recording of the same demo in this video (at ~3:05):

Pick and choose your targets, take them out one by one instead of rushing into the fray because multiple will likely gang on you. That's pretty common sense, especially for games with melee.
Also, with good skill and a two handed weapon you can cleave your way through duders without breaking a sweat
Also, with good skill and a two handed weapon you can cleave your way through duders without breaking a sweat
Emphasis on "Mount" at least in the single player, makes you 10x harder to be killed when you're on horseback.
Everything I wanted for a Mount and Blade sequel. I'm worried if they are keeping the battle tactics skill and if it influences the attacker/defender ratio, or if there is still a unit cap for the battlefield. I only have Warband but in that one if your tactics skill was shit you would be outnumbered 20 to 1 even if you had similar numbers. I always thought that was utter bullshit as getting it to a adequate level would take a impossibly long time. Other then that I love what I see.
tactics was kinda pointless if you used battle size enhancer mods, i'd like to see tactics influence respawns less and make your ai more capable of maneuvering around the battlefield gaining the advantage
I never used mods unless it was a game with steam workshop compatibility. :v:

It takes a really long time to build yourself up to have actually fun combat scenarios I guess, and I don't really like managing money and economy and stuff in games. But the combat is so well designed and fun that multiplayer alone is fun as hell with lots of people in a server, I spent lots of hours just chilling listening to music and playing multiplayer. It might not have all the gore and stuff as Chivalry, but the velocity based combat with it's multiple blocking directions makes Chivalry seem really casual in comparison.
i wish they'd get somebody to work on the UI...
I hope it's gonna be dx10 compatible for my broke ass to enjoy.

If you want to get into big battles right away, you can start as an impoverished noble to give yourself a little headstart. After that, grab a handful of peasant troops and set yourself up as a mercenary for a lord. You can get into big battles within days of starting a new game.
The UI and animations need some big attention. The animations in particular just look like slightly cleaned up animations from before.
none of these things are downsides at all though honestly im estatic that it's the same game with more, and better.
Copyright claimed, vid is down...
none of these things are downsides at all though honestly im estatic that it's the same game with more, and better.
The small additions like leaving some of your men to act as a gang in back alleys is pretty cool. I want to see more how they are going to expand on that. If they do another expansion like Fire and Sword I hope they have it across Europe rather then just Poland.
Is the video uploaded somewhere else?
It looks great but I was hoping for greater changes in the combat. Looks pretty much identical to previous games. The combat wasn't bad before, but I prefer the style of Chivalry more since you can't just keep your sword in the air and wait for the chance to strike.
Mount and blade, to me, was always a game with so much promise that wasn't realized nearly as much as it could have been.
Mount and blade, to me, was always a game with so much promise that wasn't realized nearly as much as it could have been.
I could disagree. Warband was everything I was expecting when I bought it and way more. I thought it was a game that I was buying that I'd play for like, 30 hours max and I ended up playing until 4AM the day I bought it.
I loved Warband but especially super loved Napoleonic Wars. Could play that for hours and hours. Eventually grew a little tired of it, took a break, and then decided I wouldn't go back to it until the new game is released. Ended up being a lot more time than I expected unfortunately.
