Given the beginning I don't doubt that's exactly what this is. Making the protagonist a short-haired black guy seems like a horribly transparent attempt to hide the fact that its a self-insert.

What I hate the fucking most about this guy is that he thinks it's cool or edgy to go on fucking stage with a Guitar Hero controller. He looks like SUCH an imbecile.
Honestly, who likes this dude? Every single song he has is fucking lame, his persona is dumb, the lyrics are stupid, the melody is generic, he can't sing for shit and all the songs are autotuned to hell and back, and the animation is just a terrible and forced attempt at anime.
