• CNN says Daesh flag spotted at Gay Pride March; turns out to be drawing of sex toys
On Saturday, CNN devoted an entire segment to what it called "an ISIS flag among a sea of rainbow colors." CNN International's Lucy Pawle described spotting the flag at a gay pride march in London. She pronounced it to be "an attempt to mimic the ISIS flag, the black-white flag with distinctive lettering." Upon seeing the flag, she reported it to nearby police. She noted, however, that if you "look at the flag closely," you'll see "it's clearly not Arabic." Pawle is correct that the flag is not in Arabic. It is, in fact, not in any language. Rather, it consists of crude drawings of sex toys. This is why nobody outside the US takes our news seriously.
This is why nobody outside the US takes our news seriously.
I honestly thought that screencap was a joke, how is this even newsworthy anyway
Faux News is gonna be happy about this one.
I think these journalists need to get their sight checked up at a doctor :v: Don't get me wrong, the colours used in the flag makes it look a lot like the islamic state flag. Dildo State, anyone? I'll convert to dildo and fight for the rights for any adult human being to buy and use sex toys without getting stigmatized. Masturbation is for everyone!
Faux News is gonna be happy about this one.
FOX does something stupid and we get pages of insults. CNN does something stupid, and within 3 posts we get a comment about Fox. Honestly, I know you hate them with a passion, but everything doesn't need to come back around to FOX.

Flag idea's genius.

I just think it's funny that people bring them up so much, even when they're irrelevant to the topic.

The fact that they failed to understand that it is satirizing and slandering the ISIS icon is mind-boggling.
The fact that they failed to understand that it is satirizing and slandering the ISIS icon is mind-boggling.
Or maybe they're just doing what they always do and trying to sensationalize the shit out of everything.
Faux News is gonna be happy about this one.
"Fo" news?

Personally I think it's a bit crude in and of itself to be brandishing a flag covered in drawings of butt-plugs and other such things in a public place such as they are, but it's still a hilarious parody.
These parades aren't exactly known for being subtle.
Which is a damn shame. I'm fine with people being gay and all but please, leave the leather straps and ass-less chaps at home.
So if normal ISIS makes videos of beheadings, what kind of videos do dildo ISIS make?
So if normal ISIS makes videos of beheadings, what kind of videos do dildo ISIS make?
They'll still involve a disappearing head, of sorts.
CNN is incompetent. Fox News is actually damaging our country.
Sure, and I think MSNBC is actually damaging our country. The difference is that I don't need to tell everyone and their mother.
Fox is never irrelevant in a discussion about unverified kneejerk journalism.
I don't even watch FOX, and wouldn't necessarily disagree, but to think they're any worse than MSNBC is just your bias showing.
Fox is never irrelevant in a discussion about unverified kneejerk journalism.
Or in a discussion about large depictions of dildos. Can't say the same for Fox.

At least they fired the producer who did it though.
Here's a few more for you: - Al Sharpton has his own show. No more needs to be said about that. - According to Pew, MSNBC has 85% opinion/15% news compared to FOX with 55% opinion/45% news (CNN, for comparison, had 54% opinion/46% news) (http://www.journalism.org/2015/04/29/state-of-the-news-media-2015/) - In the Obama/Romney race MSNBC had a 23 to 1 ratio of unfavorable to favorable stories about Romney while FOX had an 8 to 1 ration for Obama (same pew study) Specific situations of crazy level bias: - Martin Bashir suggesting that someone shit in Palin's mouth and/or piss on her eyes (I don't even like Palin). Also, notice the tone and wordage. I don't think I've ever heard anyone on FOX directly insult someone like that. I could very well be wrong about that, but I haven't seen it personally. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34J2VIgY2vM) - A guest went totally unchallenged after saying that the Republican party is essentially a "white nationalist, Afrikaner, Boer party" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFWEtdZ5TWA) There are a million more where these came from. They aren't even rare on MSNBC. I honestly don't think I've seen a single Rachel Maddow where she doesn't directly insult some conservative's character, and the old MSNBC favorite, Keith Olbermann, had a daily/weekly segment where he picked his least favorite person who was literally always just some conservative who was in the news recently. Anyone who thinks MSNBC is better than FOX either doesn't watch them both or is so blinded by bias that they simply can't see. [editline]27th June 2015[/editline] The one single that thing makes FOX more reputable than MSNBC is that FOX pretty much always has a person from the other side to give their perspective on the story while MSNBC rarely does the same.
Arabs have been misunderstood for far too long, all they wanted to do was to put sex toys all over everything and people started calling it a language.
