It's funny because I've been able to play it all of yesterday too.
Me too

Me too. If you didn't preorder it look at a wall, headbutt it, bandage your head then buy it.
Team 17 really did a great job in remaking the original!
I really loved part 2, but sadly forts under siege and worms 4 weren't as fun as part 2.
I miss the abundance of options that Armageddon had.
I agree, i had so much fun with Armageddon.
I wish they would continue making awesome 3D ones. I don't want to pay $20 for a goddamn reskin of a game already remade many, many times.
This isn't all that great if you've already played the Worms for the Xbox360. They just copy pasta it onto the PC and made it work on it. You can even find some Xbox360 files laying around in the folders.
I was really expecting them to combine what they had already done with the Xbox version (or well, PSP, Wii, PS3, Xbox, Ipad and Ipod versions that are all the same more or less) together with how the old Worms World Party and Armageddon was.
I especially don't understand why they fucked around with the rope physics and why it's 4 players only on the PC, I can halfway understand it when it's on a console, but why is it still limited to 4 on a team for us? I guess the answer lays in the campaign missions being the exact same as the ones on Xbox360, some of the missions have a swapped theme but that's also it.
Basically I'm quite disappointed with this because they went all "We're finally going back to the PC, we'll bring back the good old times again" and yadda yadda, and then they just slap on the shit they already made for the Xbox360. What happened? Didn't they sell as well as expected?
The art is also not on the good old Team17 level, all the themes are so simple and look like they just hit the vectorization button in Illustrator or some other program/internet service and left it at that, the only things that seem to be fully drawn by them with quality is the forts, theme wise. The weapons have the quality I expect and the randomly generated props that spawn on the map itself are also nice. But I find it weird that they added so much detail to many of the hats as that makes them stand out and not fit them.
Overall I am very disappointed with the way they made and announced this game, I hope they will change some of the things, like more players in a team in the future. But it's not a bad game though, it really isn't, it is worms and it is fun. So if you liked Worms World Party or Worms Armageddon then you will like it, especially if you haven't played the 2D versions for the consoles. You just need to get used to some of the changes.
Its great, they just need to have a function that disables voice all together
pros:
- cool new effects and visuals
- more new weapons and stuff
- hats
cons:
- not as customizable as worms armageddon or worms world party
- no windowed mode (yet)
- campaign is absolute garbage compared to the old worms games' campaigns
- many things that worked fine before are changed for the worse (ie. rope physics)
- internet lobby system is actually shittier than the WormNET stuff from the previous worms games, if that is even possible.

Pretty much. They are having a lot of budget issues, heck, they even released shitty versions on mobile phones for easy money.
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed how unfitting some of the graphics look. I don't even know if they still have artists over there, almost all of the artwork on the game is recycled from earlier games, half of it being quick edits of Worms 3D artwork.

It's not a bad game, it's Worms, so it can't be bad. But it just brought nothing new. It's on the same level as Worms 2, if it was released after Worms: The Director's Cut, it would have been awesome, but since then we had Worms Armageddon and its shitload of weapons, Worms World Party and its extremely original missions, Worms 3D with equally memorable ones, Worms Forts with a completely different gameplay, and Worms 4 with a weapon factory and awesome weapons such as the Sentry Gun.
Releasing a game with less weapons and classical "kill them all" missions was just a huge step backwards, and that's really not nice from them because we didn't get a PC version of Worms since Worms 4 Mayhem.

coming from a guy who had a worms avatar for over 6 years
this
There's a few bugs they need to fix. But overall it's a quality game!
It's a Fez, it's cool :)
