Road safety ads always have a unique varying blend of shock value and guilt tripping, but here is an example of an ad without any shock, just the guilt.
I think this one was posted here some time ago, but it still manages to leave a heavy aftertaste. So it's pretty effective if you ask me. But your mileage (heh...) may vary.

I don't think that's a very effective one. People are more likely to relate to something where a character is established in a manner they can relate to. Just stating things like in this ad doesn't do much imo.
