...Well, i'd pick the fire one at least.
Not too fond on the looks of any of them so far. Maybe they evolve to something that look much better, hopefully anyway.
They look good except for the whale[?] thing, but their evolutions will probably look shit
Pokemon really need to go back to the less complex designs of Gen 1-3
The legendaries look pretty sick
I really like the rendition of the main theme they're using. I hope the rest of the soundtrack is as good.
New professor looks nice

That owl is pretty cute.
I like the bowtie motif it has going on.

And presumably due to it's owl-like nature, maybe it's full evolution will be some sort of Grass/Flying type? Though that'd make it a pretty risky bet, since Grass already has five weaknesses, and combining it with Flying would make it quad-weak to Ice.

Maybe they'll have the starting abilities be something other than low life power up and they'll give the owl thick fat at its third stage.
That's actually a neat idea. Grass/Flying with Thick Fat sounds like a pretty effective combo. Ice would still be at least "super effective" against such a Pokemon, but a Grass type that only takes regular damage from Fire would still be a pretty gnarly defensive type.

I almost agreed with all your post.

The first evolution is already Grass/Flying :v:

And then it goes the way of Serperior and even just turns into only grass type instead of being something awesome.

Trainer designs are pretty bland, but it's nice to see customization is back from X/Y

I didn't expect them to up their graphics.
the starters look kinda lame to be honest. especially the water type. also one of the legendarys really does look like a digimon (but someone already made the observation)

i wonder if that will mean we will have framerate issues on the normal 3ds like we did with XY and oras. though if hyrule warriors is anything to go by we will get better results there.
I didn't expect them to up their graphics.
Neither did I, and it looks like they didn't. Graphics wise it looks identical to X/Y. But I am digging the added depth to the world in terms of how the land is laid out.

Unless you play with 3D on, I'd say frame issues were fixed in ORAS. XY would stutter whenever the camera would have a split view of the two Pokemon, while ORAS was smooth during those angles. Hyrule Warriors with 3D on is annoying to the point that I'd much, much rather not play it, so besides, I can live without a game running flawlessly in 3D. Leave the 3D to games who can really utilize it, like 3D Land and Link Between Worlds.
[editline]10th May 2016[/editline]
Also I just noticed you said "normal 3DS," and then "Hyrule Warriors." Well, HW is unplayable on 3DS since the framerate is so bad, so I'm just confused as to what you mean.
the moon legendary looks cool but everything else is bland
They all look like garbage, hopefully they at least evolve into something nice.
Calling it now, cat's gonna evolve into a fire/dark type

Flying/grass is a shitty defensive typing, as you said. It would be only viable if it's stats are made for offense or if it gets an amazing ability
Maybe the grass starter will be the new talonflame
Calling it now, cat's gonna evolve into a fire/dark type
or a fire/ghost type that emits soot.
I didn't expect them to up their graphics.
They didn't, but at least the trainer and NCP models look a lot better. There's a clear distinction between child and adult now, and they aren't large head, small bodied anymore.
What I'm concerned with is that the colors still look as washed out as Ruby/Sapphire and the Gen 6 games.
Flying/grass is a shitty defensive typing, as you said. It would be only viable if it's stats are made for offense or if it gets an amazing ability
Like was said earlier, Thick Fat would probably help make it decent on defense.
looks like the owl is wearing a bikini top.
Hot.
I think fire will turn into Fire/Rock seeing as it's oil based and type advantage over Grass/Flying
