Yeah, these people are ridiculous, they believe in a global jewish conspiracy and wants to deport any non-Nordic people from Sweden.

So as far as I can tell the party's demonstration is being overshadowed by a much larger yet less organized anti-racism demonstration.

The world needs to do something about Putin

The Norwegian chapter of this organisation are now planning a demonstration in Fredrikstad this summer. I intend to join the counter-protests and I urge you Swedes to do the same. The Nordic Resistance Movement is a genuine neo-nazi group and they aim to turn the entirety of Scandinavia into a fascist state through revolution. If they want to spread propaganda while hiding behind cops and "free speech" then we'll use our own free speech and numbers to tell them to fuck off.

Trump demonstrated himself to be a caricature of a bad candidate and still people voted for him. I honestly believe that Trump won because the people who voted for him were finally happy that racism, sexism, and xenophobia are acceptable in politics again. So they voted the one which they thought offered the greatest shakeup. If it was Bernie running, he would have won against Trump or any other republican.

People willing to let his racism/sexism/other-isms slide because they valued something else as higher priority. 1 facepuncher and several people irl I've talked to said they supported trump coz he'll "restart" the corrupt system. They value the destruction of a system which is doomed to, and deserves to, fail over all the shit Trump is. Trump offered simple (and flawed) solutions to problems. People lose jobs to automation and globalisation? "I'll stop immigrants from taking you jobs, I'll stop trading with mexico, I'll make more jobs" To people who are hurting because they don't have a job getting that job back is more important than someone being sexist or racist. Also he made a narrative of him vs "the man" and western culture seems very much to be about celebrating the underdog and the rebel (unless the underdog is from the middle east)
