• Harrison Ford confirms he is in talks to be in 'Blade Runner II'
When IGN asked if he was interested in working again with Scott on another Blade Runner installment, Ford replied: “Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it.” He elaborated a bit more, after the interviewer asked him about the longtime reports/claims (based partly on the actor’s comments over the years) that Ford doesn’t exactly remember working on the original Blade Runner with “fondness”: “I remember it with complication, but… I’m not there to generate nostalgic moments. I’m there to do a job of work and I quite understand that… Everybody has an ambition when they come into a film and that everyone’s ambition may not be so focused on the same thing. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the telling – the further telling of this story.”
http://screenrant.com/blade-runner-2-sequel-harrison-ford-ridley-scott-talks/?kw=sideshared
But hes so damn old, how could he possibly do a sequel?
YES!!! I really hope this actually happens, even if Deckard becomes just a minor character, another movie set in the blade runner universe is just wonderful.
Ford your face has become the literal living embodiment of "I'm getting too old for this shit" We love ya but calm your tits
But hes so damn old, how could he possibly do a sequel?
Old people are still good for films, Clint Eastwood for example did some very good films despite being old as history itself.

yessss let it be set years after the first one. so somewhere around 2040.
"confirms he is in talks" that's not really reassuring nor guaranteeing anything will be made.
The last I heard it was going to be a prequel, why would they bring back Ford if it's still going to be? Also, if they don't get Vangelis back to do the soundtrack, it won't really be a Blade Runner film.
yessss let it be set years after the first one. so somewhere around 2040.
Well it has to be set years after the first, I mean it would be a bit weird if they got out of that elevator and suddenly he's aged 30 years
Sorry but I don't trust Scott to make good movies anymore, and especially a Blade Runner movie. I seriously doubt this, if it ever happens, will be up to par with the first.
I thought Deckard[sp] possibly being, and heavily hinted at being, a Replicant was a major part of Blade Runner? And Replicants don't live long. Having an old Harrison Ford would seem like it steps all over that.[/sp] (I guess I'll spoiler tag it v:v:v)
Ridley Scott is very much on form. He never really had a "prime" era, more on and off great films. Not all of his early works were great either.

i heard ford as an absolute asshole to work with on the film and in more recent news he has seemed like a weirdo. surprised these talks have happened
Scott can probably still make a good film, I've heard that Prometheus was much to do with them cutting huge chunks out of the script, thus causing the film to make no sense.
It made perfect sense to me. Additionally, I would really like it if this happened. Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies of all time.I have a super duper 1080p version of it on my hard drive. 26 gigabytes of pure goodness. Oh sweet merciful god. I mean, after the immediate hype and euphoric bliss, I'm now thinking of the quality of the writing. But I doubt they'd make a second BR unless they were absolutely certain that they'd keep the script up to par. The original still holds up so fucking well to this day. Everything from the "CGI" and the sound is fucking wonderful. I have like 20gb of HDD space dedicated for the 1080p release, and I will never ever get rid of it. I've watched it at least once a year for the last decade. It's right next to Alien in my most watched things.
Ah, the original. So, what's the consensus on the direction they took with it, Film Noir-esque narration vs. Dialogue only?

The quality isn't that much different. Anyway, I look forward to another Blade Runner. As long as it's like the first in some ways.
i heard ford as an absolute asshole to work with on the film and in more recent news he has seemed like a weirdo. surprised these talks have happened
ya but i heard he also saved someone with a helicopter

Goddamn yes. I want this. I am still amazed how good the special effects look in final cut in 720p. I want them to be ultra sexy again. (like Prometheus, but not written by an idiot)
i dunno man, it'll probably visually stunning if nothing else but the lack of Vangelus is turning me off a bit and i'm kind of worried everything will just turn into an iPod to keep it modern
i really dislike it when artistic films get sequels, and blade runner is one of the only sci fi films ever that's actually interesting from a film analysis point of view blade runner really should not get a sequel. it'd be like giving citizen kane a sequel. or dr. strangelove.

But if the sequel sucks I can pretend it doesn't exist.
I can't wait for Blade Runner II: The Senior Years.
But hes so damn old, how could he possibly do a sequel?
Easy, it picks up [sp] years after Deckard and Rachael left LA. Rachael may be dead or whatever, since Replicants only get a few years to live. Don't get me started on Deckard being a Replicant :v. [/sp] Iunno, either it has Ford as a main character or a supporting spot.
I thought Deckard[sp] possibly being, and heavily hinted at being, a Replicant was a major part of Blade Runner? And Replicants don't live long. That and some of the holes in the story. Regardless, it'd be cool to see another Blade Runner.
i more or less jerk off over blade runner every day. i don't think i want a sequel or prequel or anything
how about no sequel to blade runner because its guaranteed to be a monumental fuckup, it wont even come close to holding up to Blade Runner
