I never quite understood how big tits in video games somehow equate to misogyny.
If you honestly believe that creating female characters with obnoxiously large jiggling scantily clad tits isn't just to appeal to heterosexual men then you need to get real

Why is that a problem
Why is that a problem
because things that attract men repel women
haven't you ever used magnets before
Let's be frank, there is a disproportionate amount of female video game characters whose sole purpose is to sexually appeal to male consumers. And too often it comes down to lazy character design.

nobody finds that attractive
the purpose of hulked out, musclebound characters is to appeal to male power fantasies
if you had posted a picture of a reasonably toned dude in spandex then i guess?? maybe??
wanting to have sex with cartoons is not harmful to not-cartoon women

What if they're aiming for a certain target audience? It's not like every game has to be liked by everyone.
This video had its own thread but I think it fits in nicely right here. Its pretty much the same thing but about a different body part.

You got me there, I actually want to be permanently encased in a mask, dependant on a muscle-stimulating formula, and be so fucking huge I can't move.
This is my power fantasy, and I want to see it respected in games permanently
PS. Get over yourself, the only 2 characters that apply to the general "male power fantasy" are Duke Nukem and Serious Sam, and they only fit the criteria because they are badass, funny and basically a parody of themselves in a parody world.
female body fantasies aren't a thing because females don't play video games uwu
Ah yes, the Feminist Catch 22.
Strong Male Character = Male Power Fantasy
Strong Female Character = Male Dominatrix Fantasy / Just a genderswapped man
Weak Male Character = Male Dominatrix Fantasy
Weak Female Character = Male Power Fantasy
Well why can't a woman be proud of her own sexuality? Why can't a fictional character be proud of her sexuality?
i'm not referring to strong men, i'm referring to literally hulked out monsters like the one you posted. I don't have the sort of knowledge about comic books and films to refute the rest of your point, except that i'd like to point out that i've never heard the "male dominatrix fantasy" point and i would like you to elaborate on it.

Here's a novel thought
Maybe Bane is just fucking big because that's his character and maybe he wasn't created to be a male power fantasy for all the scrawny little male nerds you think read comic books?
Can I just say that I am tired of being accused of being part of the problem because I am a straight male who enjoys seeing large tits in video games? It's not like I go out and be misogynistic to women in the real world. I hold the door open for my girlfriend, or anyone behind me. I don't stare at women's breasts or asses walking down the street.
also re: Bane - Maddox's video has a great point, I'm also sick and tired of people being worried about huge tits and impossibly large dudes in comic books and video games where there are way more strange concepts. Like in Metal Gear Rising the end boss is literally a US Senator who's high on nanomachines. It is not serious at all, and yet people still point at characters like Mistral. Yeah, she's unrealistic because she has huge tits, not because her weapon is literally a lance of robotic arms or anything.
DISGUSTING, how dare you imply that a woman can't open a door for herself, what is she too weak?
I don't know, some doors can be pretty heavy...
Bane is a terrible example because his body's not supposed to be attractive (it is to a select community of muscle fetishists who have a thing for over-the-top, out of proportion muscle masses and that's another thing entirely), it's supposed to be a clear sign of how much of a wrecker of shit he is. Comic Books aren't exactly subtle most of the time and Bane is buff as fuck because that's how you design a villain in most situations, you exacerbate their one main strength.
This being said, I've been around women long enough to know that the usual muscular, handsome male type character appeals to them just as much as the usual sexy, scantily clad female type character. Hell, I've seen met more men who are annoyed at the simplicity of the characters than women - not to say that one has a higher standard than the other, but saying that women can do nothing but complain and that men can do nothing but furiously masturbate at their own misogyny is idiotic.
Also shallowness in media isn't necessarily a bad thing. Not everything needs to be an absolute masterpiece, even masterpieces have weaker aspects, and sometimes a very straight forward and dumb approach is the best possible one you can take to forward a message. "This guy is a pile of muscles" and "This woman acts slutty" are two good ways of forwarding characters in video games as self-assured.

Are you a gimmick account or something?
Start debating properly man, come on.
Attempting to exaggerate/parody the viewpoints of people you disagree with is no way to maintain a civil discourse.

The chiselled men on the right are also cheap and lazy appeals to sexual desire, but at least they are in context, on the cover of generic romance novels (basically bookporn).
If I want a strong, intelligent female character in a video game about fighting dangerous foes, it doesn't fit well with her personality or intelligence to be wearing skimpy clothing in a combat environment.
Again, it is not about being offended or shocked by partially nude women, it is about having a mature experience when it comes to an art form that I love.
The same goes for men, too. If I saw Batman attempting to appeal to the sexual desires of the audience by having exposed skin everywhere, then it would detract from my experience.
It is why characters like Evelynn from LoL irk me:
[THUMB]http://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Evelynn_0.jpg[/THUMB]
(It looks like she is going to a sex dungeon, not a combat arena.)
But why characters like Kayle are cool:
[THUMB]http://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Kayle_0.jpg[/THUMB]
She is actually ready for battle, and looks badass because of it.
Same with male characters too, however, this disparity between character and appearance is way more prevalent with females and you'd be ignorant not to notice it.
Maybe they should change
Maybe not with the "misogyny" but the racism

The lesbian audience is worth pandering to.
