• Airsoft Challenge #2: Double Tap
    32 replies, posted
Since the first airsoft challenge (speed reload) went fairly well I've decided to put up a new challenge at the beginning of every month. For this Month, the challenge is: Double Tap Gear Needed -Primary Weapon (Rifle, SMG, preferably something semi auto that has a stock). Sling recommended but not required. -Secondary Weapon (Pistols, SMGs, etc. Whatever you would use on the field as your backup gun that you carry). -Holster or Sling for Secondary. -Wear your gear that you play in. Procedure 1. Have your gear on, secondaries holstered/retained, and primary weapon in hand. 2. Place a standard piece of paper (8.5"x11" or similar) on a target 10 yards away. You just need something to aim and shoot at. 3. Fire 2 shots with your primary at the paper target. (SEMI AUTO ONLY) 4. Transition to secondary. 5. Fire 2 shots with your secondary at the paper target.(SEMI AUTO ONLY) Repeat 3 times and post your fastest times. Bonus Challenge Repeat this challenge, but without your support hand and arm. Video Entries xXEnder007Xx
My backup is a springer, I can't doubletap :saddowns: [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] I can tap though
Perfect timing. My Glock arrives next week. I'll probably have to record on my laptop or something though.
I'm tempted to try this but I only have my 74M and with my one point sling it drags I think.
My primary is a SOC16 and secondary a G36c what the fuck man [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] How the fuck do I bonus challenge?
Can I use a SAW with a SAW as my backup?
When you transition to secondary, can you just hold your gun in your other hand while you shoot with your secondary?
When you transition to secondary, can you just hold your gun in your other hand while you shoot with your secondary?
This ima lefty but I usually have my pistol on my right (pistol is in repairs atm) since I only have a right handed holster
When you transition to secondary, can you just hold your gun in your other hand while you shoot with your secondary?
That wouldn't really be transitioning though. Just putting one hand down, and bringing the other up.
When you transition to secondary, can you just hold your gun in your other hand while you shoot with your secondary?
Yes, that's why I said a sling on your primary isn't necessary, since I figured there may be a few out there without a sling, or a long rifle.
That wouldn't really be transitioning though. Just putting one hand down, and bringing the other up.
Downside is you're shooting one handed, and you have to hit a target.
double tap bolt action double tap springer pistol ^ winner right there
Downside is you're shooting one handed, and you have to hit a target.
Good thing my Glock has full-auto and a 50 round mag. Spray and pray.
Good thing my Glock has full-auto and a 50 round mag. Spray and pray.
heh, I noticed about nothing in the rules about full or semi
Changing to Semi only. Just finished recording my run. Placed the Go Pro on my G36K facing me so you could see me switching to the pistol. I was going to attach it to my helmet afterward but I couldn't get the camera to disconnect.
Ugh, if i participated i would have to spend like 30 seconds switching from my rpk to my shotgun

If I get my P229 by the end of the month, I'll totally enter this. I live in a condo so I'll have to do this in the garage. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] I also shoot pistols lefty, so I need to get a lefty holster.
The way I actually use my pistol is holding my M4 by its magwell, pointing down in my left hand while one-handing my Glock. If I use a sling, I just let go of the M4 as I pull the Glock. If my M11 is being used as a secondary on a sling and I don't get strangled do I get bonus points?
Finished my video
Do we need to show the target to prove we're actually hitting something
Preferred but not necessary. I forgot to get footage of my target in my video so it's fine if you don't.
Can I still enter if my secondary is also on a sling or do I need a holster?
Secondary can be on a sling.
double tap dual mac 11s get mistaken for using full auto
Can I use two Mark 23's at once?
Can I use two Mark 23's at once?
<- jelly
Can I use two Mark 23's at once?
Nope. "-Primary Weapon (Rifle, SMG, preferably something semi auto that has a stock)"
Meh, only one attempt, can't really be assed to do more.
