That's different, because whatever it was you were watching was probably shot at that resolution as well. And aside from being low res, it's 2Mbps. Does Vimeo do refunds? It didn't tell me jack shit about what I was buying, so that's why I assumed it would be at least 1080p (or give me options after paying).

Yes I did, my connection is pretty fast and so are Vimeo's servers apparently (downloaded at 30MB/s).
But the file you're getting now is 720p, 2Mbps. That's a fucking scam for 10 bucks if you ask me.
Hmm, maybe wait a day or something or Tweet them. My resolution is 1280x720 anyway so I don't mind too much.
Nonetheless the site says additional outlets are coming soon so maybe something else will pop up.

Indie Game The Movie was encoded at a similar quality (1080p, 2.5mbps if I remember correctly); but it didn't look like ass because they encoded with a very slow preset and using VBR
yeah i just took a quick look (It's 4am down under) and the quality is questionable.
I'm going to stay optimistic and hope a 1080p version will come out or something.

To be fair, the compression artifacts are not [I]too[/I] terrible if I view the video in its original size, but as soon as I full screen it, I can't stop noticing it.
I can wait for a better quality though, I've been waiting too long for this movie to watch it in a subpar quality.

It's exactly what you're expecting. It's a two hour AVGN episode with some over the top story and the annoying sidekick and female character. I think they're self aware though, but why include them at all? The movie is the AVGN movie and it totally stands on its own with only his scenes. I don't understand why they'd put that out there.

You bought a B movie that had a budget of 320K, if you didn't realize this was a B movie and may not be as fancy as other movies. I really have no idea how you have anyone to blame but yourself.
