Doge was funny the first 5 times I encountered it. It really needs to be timed perfectly in a semi serious setting to be funny, imo.

More related to this, I feel this whole doge thing is pretty hit and miss. I've seen some pretty hilarious ones around, but a lot of the time the people who make them just don't set it up well. I've always pronounced it like rogue, 'doggey' is too forced sounding even for a meme, and 'dodge'? Who even as with most memes I think it's still funny when it's unexpected now and again, and when it's unique content. I try not to let dinks that run stuff into the ground get in my way with these jokes, though some of the more overbearing memes just aren't salvageable
