Martin Shuker, a rep for KFC says: “‘Finger lickin’ good’ is very food centric. ‘So good’ is still about the food, but it also allows us to more effectively communicate the breadth of different things about the brand, such as our people.’ The catchphrase originated by accident in the 1950s when franchisee David Harman was shown eating chicken and licking his fingers in the background of an American TV commercial. A viewer phoned the company to complain about the scene, to which the manager replied: ‘Well, it’s finger lickin’ good.’ The catchphrase took off, becoming the KFC slogan and one of the most recognised taglines in the world. UK and Ireland chains will stop using palm food oil and switch to the healthier rapeseed oil in an effort to reduce saturated fats across the chain’s range by 25 per cent, as well as reduce food miles by sourcing it from Kent rather than Asia. KFC will also spend £7m to outfit its restaurants with ovens in the run up to the launch of the Brazer, the first product that is griddled rather than fried. KFC is amazing. Sucks that they are changing it.

Fucking health-conscious assclowns. LEAVE KFC ALONE! It's a fast food joint, not a fucking funny farm. If you don't want to get sued for people dropping off their feet from excess KFC, just put in a fucking disclaimer! In fact, all fast food joints should have disclaimers. It should be like "WARNING: Excessive consumption of our products may result in clogged arteries, increased body fat deposits, overall health deficiencies, and in rare cases death due to the above symptoms!" Huh, never thought i'd use the word "fuck" so much in a statement...

i want my chicken based meat doused in flour based breading and fried in oil-based cooking oil. none the less, KFC is pretty fucking tasty, but if i eat it more than once a week, i get sick.

When I buy KFC, I am not taking my health into consideration.

Dear KFC, Changing your slogan isn't going to draw in the healthy people, it's not going to push away the unhealthy people, it's just going to be a waste of your money because you have to throw out millions of buckets and then replace them with the rebranding.
