Voskhod and Laika

I think Laika is better, but that's just me, actually took me longer to make Voskhod than Laika.

Thanks everyone, also I'm not trying to do propegando for the Soviet stuff, just trying to make it look constructivistic as mentioned before.

It takes some time, but, yeah.
I started by choosing some desaturated colours, you can find excellent colours on colourlovers.com
Next, find a simple motive and think of simple things you want to draw, don't overdetail, you'll lose style.
If you want to trace an image, try tracing the most important details, like the dog, you'll only need the nose, eyes, ears etc.

It'll all look vectorish and a bit meh, so you apply a texture you like, a grungy one, like a paper texture.

I'm the guy who gave him the idea for the Voskhod 2 picture.

Add the papery texture last. Also, the mountains need to be a little higher. Not so much that they obscure the moon though. Also, just add a few sparse trees to the background.

Also, If you make it 1680x1050 I will love you.
