Of the many wacky, unorthodox excuses for missing school that I've heard over the years.. Rape by migrants is definitely the [I]least[/I] wacky.

Why do I get the feeling that this was likely her parents' doing? I can't really see a 13-year-old being all that interested in fabricating a rape claim to persuade the public view of Middle Eastern people in a negative direction, let alone going so far as to "go missing" and inflict injuries on herself. Although the article is a bit of a stub so I'm probably missing some key elements of the story. Scummy people regardless of which scenario happened, though.

She probably saw it as a good excuse nobody would question because they were already pissed at them.

I have very little time for people who are willing to compound lies - I hope she made a statement under oath or in an affidavit or something so they can be some sort of repercussion. Her actions, malicious or not, have led to the news yesterday of a hand grenade getting thrown into a shelter.

God damnit, this is why people need to start investigating these claims. It's innocent until proven Guilty. Investigation is required to prove that the person is guilty. Too many times have shit heads like this girl ruined lives, this girl nearly got people killed (I am assuming nearly, but if she did, wow) Fucking disgusting.

Just saw a report on this (before the girl decided to confess). Russian media is trying to manipulate Russians in Germany that migrants/refugees are taking over and that no woman is safe on the streets anymore and they focus this around a woman (I'm not sure if it's the same one) who claims one of her friends was raped and murdered at a refugee center, and it was later proven that she neither knew anyone from said refugee center, nor did anybody get raped or murdered. Putin is trying to undermine Merkel and distract from his country's problems – it won't really do anything against our government, but it definitely doesn't help the tensions. He just needs to fuck off and work on fixing his own problems. Whether or not this girl was encouraged to do so by Russian propaganda I don't know, hope not, but it makes you think.
