White House Bikeshare station requested by Obama removed by Trump's team
The Trump administration has dismantled aspects of Obama’s legacy, big and small — including the Capital Bikeshare station that was installed on the White House grounds at the request of the Obama administration.
The District’s Department of Transportation confirmed Wednesday that it removed the nine-slot Bikeshare station this week at the Trump administration’s request.
Unlike every other Bikeshare station in the region, this one was not accessible to the public and could only be used by commuters who had access to White House grounds. The Obama administration requested the station in 2010.
It’s unclear why the White House wanted it removed. The White House didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
“We got the request to remove it, and we honored that request,” said Terry Owens, spokesman for the District’s transportation agency.
You have to remember this is the same man who thinks that humans are born with a finite energy reserve, like batteries. Of course he'd have a thing against bikes.
This is fine tbh.
Trump's cabinet aren't physically able to ride bikes so why have em around?

It needs to be replaced with a station that holds those little electric carts you see in grocery stores.
Don't worry the GOP is drawing up a replacement plan where the bikes will be significantly more expensive and fall apart after 2 pedals

Or, maybe to be more appealing for Trump, just golf carts
I always get a chuckle out of comments from alt-right people about how people are constantly "triggered" by Trump and can't get him out of their minds, when Trump actually does act the same way about anything Obama has touched, no matter how small and insignificant.
i'm starting to think that obama bed piss tape story might be real

Starting?
Petty indeed. The cost of removing it was probably more than just leaving it there.
republican's don't ride bikes.

I'm sure they ride bikes, but a bike-sharing station?
Sounds an awful lot like socialism to me
