That was really good. I always love russian history. Fascinating stuff. It's a shame though that Khrushchev was kicked out by Brezhnev because of his actions during the missile crisis, even though they probably saved the world from destruction. It'd be interesting to see where the union would have gone had he stayed in power. I guess the government wouldn't really have stagnated.
I like it. I don't know much about Khrushchev but by the sounds of it I think I relate him closely to Carter.
It's funny how in school they never mention the missiles that were in Turkey.

Sure he was still a soviet dictator but he seemed to genuinely want to make Russia better, which of course other higher ups didn't like and kicked him out and left him with pretty much nothing.
Cool video
How does a guy like Khrushchev, being the son of a miner, become a soviet general?
How does a guy like Khrushchev, being the son of a miner, become a soviet general?
How does an italian peasant become the greatest Emperor of France, the King of Spain, the President of Italian republic etc etc (all at the same time)? Or how does a poor illiterate rural russian boy become one of the best scientists of time (Lomonosov)? How does a guy with no formal education invent the lightbulb and create the world's first ever R&D lab? How did Wei, a (literally) chinese prostitute in a male-dominated society become the empress of Kingdom of Wei, ruling China for 50 years (longer then any other emperors before or after)? After all how did Napoleon's first love, a provincial girl he dumped for being too stupid and straightforward, become the queen of Sweden (her dynasty is still ruling, unlike Napoleon's)?
They probably have some kind of secret club we don't know about.
Actually it's quite amazingly true. So Napoleon as a teen was in the Paris academy, studying artillery. Then the revolution happened and... 10-30 years later he fought nearly everyone of his classmates, challenging their tactitian skills in Italy, Syria, France, Austria and many more countries. They all were defeated by him, but barely any gave up and proceeded to become great strategists of their own. In general nearly every single (important) person Napoleon met on his way up became a world-known figure. Take for example any of his classmates, his sister (they were a rather poor family), his brothers, his political oponents, anyone. Most males he met tried to defeat him at least once.
Really nice video, they deserve way more views. Here's the one they did about Kennedy:
This was the best 5 minute video I've seen in years. Thank you for sharing.
