Two weeks after its launch on May 19th, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has managed to reach 4 million units sold across the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, making it one of the best openings of the generation so far.
CD Projekt RED's co-founder, Marcin Iwinski, has thanked the fans for their support:
"Since day one, you have given us tons of positive feedback and support -- the sheer volume of emails we’ve gotten since launch simply congratulating us for our efforts is both epic and heartwarming, and I wish every developer comes to have such a fantastic community. In terms of media reception, we’re really humbled by the scores the game has received all around the world. With an average of 90+ on every platform, Wild Hunt is our dream coming true."

This game is a hell of ton better than most triple AAA releases that came out in the last four years.
Not that that's saying too much to be perfectly honest, with how the AAA market has been going.
Game certainly deserves all these sales and more ontop, especially with the promise of free future DLC.
It's my favorite game in recent times. At first, I was totally awful and couldn't even kill a drowner, but after a few days of playing and studying the ingame techniques, the combat is beautiful now.
It's a good game, although I personally had a tonne of technical dificulties with it
Had to underclock my 2x 580's and revert to older drivers to be able to run it, and then even on medium settings with 30 fps.
More than well-deserved, it's an absolutely amazing game.
Best game I've played in years easily. Blew away my expectations.
Such an amazing experience having your hand held through the entire game.
I've seen tits WITHOUT Nexus! 10/10.
It's very, very good. The characters, the story, the everything is amazing. I have a huge man-crush on Geralt. Dialogue is super-interesting and well made, so much that I listen to every babble a lowly peasant says. And I feel genuinely sad for the people of the games world.

by an hot chick who you eventually get to fuck, along a bunch more.
This series should be called "The Ditcher". You ditch that woman you fucked to fuck another.
Sex its entirely optional, if you cheated then it's your fault
It wasn't without its issues, but it still manages to be one of the better RPG games I've played in many, many years.
Well deserved. A few niggles aside the game is genuinely one of the best AAA game releases for years.
Good for them.
Yes, very well deserved! I played it for hours and hours with a friend on his Xbone. Especially the writing is unrivaled! Still it's not without flaws: the controls are a little bit clunky, above all while riding Roach.
the one thing I hate about the Witcher 3 is that it makes it harder to justify the $60 cost of other games.
i don't really like the witcher 3. played a couple of hours and never played it again -- just seems really bland, and the story/voice acting seems terrible. then again, I never got into the witcher 2 so I guess it's just not my kind of game
and the story/voice acting seems terrible.
Honestly, what are you talking about?

I've never played any Witcher game before it, and I really enjoy the game, so that's not really a valid excuse. You could just say it's your opinion and be done with it.

I'm not sure how to describe it, but everything just feels "off". imo the Geralt just sounds like a stereotypical gruff monotone dude, which he definitely was in witcher 1/witcher 2.
I can't get into the story either. I like RPG stories but this one just seems generic and uninteresting
just my opinion, of course

Did you get past White Orchard?

He DID say "not my type of game" though.
That said, glad to see those sales. Witcher 3 has rapidly seated itself as my current GOTY.

You never got into The Witcher 2 yet you decided to buy 3 because...?
You never got into The Witcher 2 yet you decided to buy 3 because...?
Considering how hyped the game has been it's no wonder really.
The game doesn't really bring out its story-telling chops in the first chapter I guess, it's mostly world-building as opposed to contextualizing. It's probably the smarter move as opposed to drowning the players in exposition in the first few minutes.
But then again I have no idea, having read and played everything I don't know well the game is introduced.
The Witcher 3 is FUCKING amazing. It deserves as much recognition as it can get.

Good point, I misread. My bad.

Figured that it would be better with the considerably larger budget. Also trailer hype

Well I hope you revisit it in a few years, I don't think I could love it more. I think the opening could be considered a bit flat for people not used to the pace or not fans of dialogue.
It might be an amazing game however I still havn't brought it and won't buy it untill it goes on sale, Not going to fund the £50 for a game thing which they started a trend using (Fallout 4 is also trying it). Got to the point where I lost most of my hype for playing it
This makes me happy because it gives them loadsa money with which to make Cyberpunk 2077
Not to say that I doubt the Witcher series is good, it's just not my thing.
I never thought witcher games were my thing, tried 1 for a bit and gave up on it and completely passed 2.
3 however has got me excited to play through both of those
I love the story and characters enough that I'll probably play 1 and 2 for that alone even if i weren't to like the gameplay.
