It seems there is at least one or two threads on the GD front page everyday about some guy going to training.
Ok yeah we get it, you are serving our country. That's great, and we all respect the army, but we could care less about you going individually. You aren't some Chuck Norris baddass now, you are probably just going to sit around waiting to get deployed.
Like I said I, along with every other American, respects the U.S military services, but I am not going to think, "Oh man that 1337noobraper dude is so brave and he is going to save the whole country all by himself!"
It just irritates me how so many people think they will garner a lot of reputation as a badass here on an internet forum. Like it is a huge accomplishment.
I completely agree. I'm getting tired of "I just joinned the army" threads.
It's great and I hope you dont get shot but we really dont want to read anymore of them.
Of course some smartass is going to say "You don't have to read them". So inb4 that
Then why don't you go into the armed forces, see if you don't feel like telling people that you're doing something great.
How the hell do you know they're not freaking rambo..
How the hell do you know they're not freaking rambo..
because rambo is not real and you are a child
Then why don't you go into the armed forces, see if you don't feel like telling people that you're doing something great.
You're not, really, though. Possibly something good depending on what role you have, but not something great.

You end up being a small addition to the thousands already in it. No one will remember you unless you get killed anyways.
Army is small time, my life for the Corps!
You end up being a small addition to the thousands already in it. No one will remember you unless you get killed anyways.
Or if you kill Bin Laden
You end up being a small addition to the thousands already in it. No one will remember you unless you get killed anyways.
no one will remember it if you get killed either.
Don't you dare speak for all of us. I've never even seen you post.
and really, try the Armed Forces out for yourself before you go bashing them.
bitch about it thread
Dude you are the biggest faggot ever. Those posts could be their last posts EVER and you're gonna sit back enjoying the freedoms of America while they're out making sure they're there so you can stay at home and ridicule them. Fuck you. Every person in the Army could probably whoop your ass you Matrix fuckin wannabe. You are a disgrace to this fuckin country. Like seriously how can you honestly say you respect the military and then make fun of the guys in it. You are without a doubt the dumbest 16 year old I've ever known. Go fuck yourself.

don't read it then
SO HARD!!!
Wow, shut up, man. There has been two threads about the army, get over it. They're doing you a service.
I'm tired of people like the OP who can't just ignore threads like that and then bring it to our attention by making a thread that is even more useless.
Let them have their 5 mins of fame for fuck sake.
OH BAWW SOMEONE HAS A HIGHER E-WORTH THAN ME I MUST MAKE A BAWw THREAD ABOUT IT
"You don't have to read them".
You don't have to read them.
:smug:
ITT: OP complains while sitting in his chair on the computer that real life badasses are clogging his internet forum because they're too busy not sitting in computer chairs and too busy being badass.
Those deserving of respect rarely seek it out.
Okay, We've all done our bid on this asshole OP. Starships, redirect course to other thread while sitting on pc looking badass, mission accomplished.
So them risking their lives at some point down the line isn't worth a quick discussion on such?

For the record, I'd feel the same about constant postings about becoming firemen, policemen, doctors, etc. They serve a vital roll in society and are no doubt deserving of respect.
From random strangers on a forum? I don't understand that. Find it from your family and friends.

Are you slow or somethin'
Yeah when my cousin joined the Canadian army all he got to do was stand around while the winter olympics happened.

Wow excellent reading there, I mean the whole thread is full of "FUCK THE ARMY FUCKING FAGGITS I HOPE DEY ALL DAI!" not "All these threads are getting a little bit pointless" totally.
I hate how they always act like they're going off to defend their country and the freedoms of everyone in it. If my country was attacked, I would certainly fight to defend it. It's hard to defend your country when you're in someone elses.

You're so dumb I now have a headache.
I kinda agree with the OP. A lot of people who come back from the service usually have a bigger ego than what they once had before. I understand that people sign up and risk their lives to give me rights but 1000's of others do it I'm not going to give 1000's of people special attention.
