She made the comments during a discussion of her efforts to keep young people from having sex before marriage. Check out the video at left, which a Democratic source provided to the Washington Post's Greg Sargent. It's the latest video showing memorable comments from O'Donnell, who appeared regularly as a television commentator before becoming a politician. In the video, O'Donnell is shown on MSNBC debating Eric Nies, who was talking about his efforts to encourage young people to practice safe sex. "I tell them to be careful," Nies says in the video. "You have to wear a condom. You have to protect yourself when you're going to have sex, 'cause they're having it anyway. There's nothing that you or me can do about it." O'Donnell responds: "The sad reality is -- yes, there is something you can do about it. And the sad reality, to tell them slap on a condom is not..." Interjects Nies: "You're going to stop the whole country from having sex?" Replies O'Donnell: "Yeah. Yeah." "I'm a young woman in my thirties and I remain chaste," she adds. "It's unrealistic to think they're just going to do it anyway. Kids are not just dogs in heat." As Salon.com notes, O'Donnell told the Wilmington News Journal in 2004 that in college (as the News Journal writes) she "did things she regrets -- drinking too much and having sex with guys with whom there wasn't a strong emotional connection. But it was also during college that she found her faith again and chose to live a life of chastity." Among O'Donnell's prior comments that have come under the spotlight are her 1996 statements on MTV opposing masturbation. "The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery. So -- you can't masturbate without lust," she said. O'Donnell, who has never been married, made the comments while discussing her opposition to premarital sex, masturbation included. "You're going to be pleasing each other, and if he already knows what pleases him, and he can please himself, then why am I in the picture?" she said. O'Donnell has said she is no longer talking to national media outlets, but has dismissed other comments that have garnered controversy, including those on masturbation and dabbling in witchcraft, as reflecting her passion for her faith and the experimentation typical of young people.
what the fuck is wrong with the tea party?
We already know the bitch is insane. There's a whole thread about it in General.

Sounds like she REALLY needs to get laid.
This O'Donnell person... She... She makes Ann Coulter look like a fine, decent lady who deserves respect. WARBLE GARBLE WHAT HAS THE WORLD BECOME BLARG BLARG etc
It's ridiculous how every time after masturbating I come straight to In The News and start laughing at shit like this.
Fuck i hate it when they say masturbation is selfish. Fuck you if you stop me from fapping you're the selfish person.
Kids are not just dogs in heat.
Ignorant sentence here.
She's so conservative she's trying to go back to the values we held while we still reproduced by splitting ourselves
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1005132 :v: But yea, bitch be crazy
I disagree that masturbation is a selfish act, as generally when anyone does it they have someone else in mind.
I like how being a Republican is all about less government but she wants to shove rules down everyone's fucking throat.
I like how being a Republican is all about less government but she wants to shove rules down everyone's fucking throat.
Being a republican has never been about less government. It's always been about social control and staying out of the way of business. They're totally fine with us going back to Elizabethan degrees of "Proper"ness.
Oh my god she needs to be shot on the spot, being religious is one thing but being this stupid should be a crime.
Isn't masturbating selfishly narcissism?
I'd only have sex with someone I have really strong emotional intimacy with. And even then it's not like I get into a relationship with the intent of getting some ass.
Kids are not just dogs in heat.
She's right. Dogs in heat have more self control.
She just wants everyone else to suffer because she can't get any.
i think i will lose complete faith in the american people if she is elected to any position of power.
