I know there's a Warcraft thread, but I really felt like this warranted a larger audience, even those who don't play. It's, in my opinion, one of Blizzard's best works so far.

The Alliance cinematic makes the Horde look like arseholes. I couldn't understand why everyone on the forums was so mad, but, wow.

Sylvanis is gonna have a longer run since she's Blizz Con's #1 Cosplay.
Also They gave Mekkatorque a scene and some lines but Gallywix hasn't gotten a break since Cataclysm.
Fuck, that bit with the Fel Reaver was sick.
Shame I ruined WoW for myself by playing it too much during the shit periods where there was nothing to do. Could never go back to playing it now.

Correct, there's no cinematic. There's just an in-game scene with text dialogue between the various Alliance ruling NPCs at Stormwind Castle.

This disappointed me, especially after doing the event on a horde and seeing the powerful second cinematic they get.

Wow! when I was playing through it on horde side I was thinking to myself, "I bet all the alliance down there think we are dicks for leaving, but we are getting wrecked up here". Turns out I was pretty much correct.
Though for Sylvanis becoming warcheif I am pumped. I always loved her story, how she originally just sided with the Horde because it was better than the Alliance in her eyes. So she didn't really like either very much. I could see her really changing some stuff up, which I really hope for as she doesn't seem to play by the rules very much.

from what I remember reading, Sylvanas set out missives to major faction leaders, and the only one that replied was Thrall

Couldn't one of the Horde archers at least tried to clarify with something like "sorry, we're completely overrun here"? Seems like a RomCom-level preventable misunderstanding.

Still....holy shit this sucks. As someone who's played both horde and alliance, both scenes cut me pretty deep.
Also Jesus Christ, Sylvanas's call to arms was fucking inspiring.

To be fair, Gallywix gets a lot of VA for the Azshara invasion.

He basically has a demigod living inside him and he was able to beat down garrosh himself so he is indeed quite a badass.
Also damn, sucks that vol'jin hasn't really been able to do cool things. We see thrall show off his powers all the time and despite vol'jin being a badass shadow priest we don't see too much of that.
I also wonder if sylvanas will actually be in Orgrimmar or will remain in the Undercity. That'd be weird for her to leave. Who'd stay behind to be that "boss"? Maybe gallywix :v:

Wasn't there a huge foreshadowing about how Vol'jin had a vision where he was Litch King levels of evil/doomed all of Azeroth? I was kind of looking forward to that, unless him making the Banshee Queen warchief corresponds to it.

the actual cinematics like the trailer cinematics take a lot more time and effort than the ingame ones which actually look really good themselves???
